I’m thinking of starting my grow indoor for a couple of months before the outdoor season here in aus , my question is , can I use standard Fluro lights or would the plants grow out better if I used 150w full spectrum led,s ,cheers j

Will be growing photo , just want to get them to the stage that i can cull the males, and their a couple of feet tall
Use LED then. Fluorescent is great for the first couple of weeks. After that they’re not a lot of good. I know there’s people who do full grows under them but check out how they do it. A whole lot of bulbs.

Thanks for the replies team,I think I’ll buy the 150w full spectrum led,s on eBay, 3 of them should do only about 40 bucks each

If you want to go with LED you should get good ones. They won't be cheap.

Quantum boards are good, I like cob setups like Timber makes. You can build them cheaper if you want, cobkits.com

I have a cob setup in a tent and it's doing good, my first run with it. Here is a few shots at day 52 of 12/12.

Also, if this is your first indoor grow be prepared to cool the space and control humidity. Happy growing!

We use both fluorescent and led to give our plants a jump before we throw them outside. Partially because we already had a bunch of fluorescent and partially because we have too many girls to fit under the one led we have. We run a Kind XL1000 which is nice because you can adjust the intensity. The first time we used it a couple years ago we set it on 100% and nearly fried all the ones under it. oops.. Best of luck on your grow
