Starting seeds and why you do it that way

Put seed in reconstituted Jiffy Pellets, voila, up pot as soon as necessary.

Bacteria on your hands can cause damping off. The less you handle the germs the better, plus Jiffy Pellets are stupid easy and I'm lazy.

I’m with you on this. I tried paper towel but just doesn’t make sense to me. I start mine in rapid rooters. I just stuck 18 old seeds in and about 6 popped. The others didn’t. I tore open the rooters and gently popped them with my fingernail on a table and stuck them back in. Can you believe I got 6 more to pop. These seeds were from 8 years ago and have setting in shop where it’s gets over a 100 all the time.

That's awesome for old seeds. I haven't used rapid rooters. Maybe I should check them out.

So far out of 100, my 13 year old seeds are a no go.. shame too, I crossed pure plant power with white widow. I have about 50 left to try. I was pretty doubtful about them to start.

Buy you a propergator a heat mat and some root riot cubes...seed straight into the moist root riot cubes, into 6 cell packs, place you a towel between the heat mat and the bottom of your propergator... spray mist the tops of the root riot cubes and the inside of the propergator wait 2 to 3 day's
