Sucks what happened. I didn't have any luck germinating the way they want. Which way do you germinate?

I tried a couple of ways. The way they do it now just does't seem right after doing the paper towel way for so long.
If the seeds don't crack in water they're not likely to crack in soil.

I've yet to have ANY seeds do well in the glass of water method. I even tried some Reggie bagseed beans just for a control. After 2 days all I got was wet seeds that just started to crack. Put some of the same seeds on the same day in both a wet paper towel and directly into soil in a solo cup. The towel had taproots in under 24 hrs.. The soil beans broke dirt at day 2. I don't know why they advocate that glass of water crap when the other 2 methods work so well. Don't fix what isn't broke I say.

I've had about a 95% success rate for cracking seeds in the cup of water method.....the other 5% I threw into soil and 3/5ths sprouted.....but the ones that sprouted ended up being weak and dying as tiny seedlings
I think the cup of water definitely depends on what water you're using....I have well water that runs slightly harder than normal....not only do I use it to crack seeds, but I water my plants with it as well.

Granted it's only my 3rd grow and I've never used ILGM seeds before.

You would probably get good seeds from ILGM. Most of the seeds I've gotten from were good and made good plants.
My problem with them is first they sold bad seeds. If they had of done a test grow they would have known.
Second problem is they replaced them with more bad seeds and told me they were from a different batch. The numbers on the package don't say that.
ILGM is probably OK. I am just angry with them because we need 4 saparate gardens for our 4 MMJ family members. I only have 2 and it's way too late to start another. I don't understand why you can't have just a family garden but OMMA said that's just the way it is.

I've wanted to use ILGM, but am fearful of their strains not being the strain they advertise....maybe remakes of the originals, that are similar but different.....it just feels like shopping at Walmart to me lol.

Just from browsing it sort of looks like Canadian seed banks may be held to higher standards than here. Any thoughts?

There are plenty of decent seed banks in USA. You apparently just have to sift through them and if you can research them/call if you can find out what they're peddling. I have had decent results from ILGM, but I've only tried 3 strains. Walmart is a fair analogy. They have some decent items and some Spanish( china at Walmart)junk. I am very pleased with the GG4auto. The plants are good phenos and look great. I figure the grow will make about 7-8 zips under 200w. I used them because it was cheap and easy to get a lot of beans to practice on. I'll use someone next time that specializes in old school strains like Christmas tree and Skunk. ILGM is a beginner's seed company for sure. But what I've seen hasn't been trash. That GG is fire.

I'm not trying to knock Walmart lol I food shop there sometimes lol....but I'm not gonna front like they don't sell fake polos and fake Nike and the Shaq brand shoes lmao.
But when you sift through things at Walmart sometimes you find some good items for the cheap.... and that's basically ILGM, they do have SOME good items, but the majority is trash.

I'm not too sure about how to find one. Anyhow, I have decided on Seedsman. They have a strain with "secret" genetics: Diet Durbin THCV. 1:1 THC/THCV. It's about 7%THC, 7%THCA, and 2%CBD.
Sounds like something I'd like o try.

DC seed exchange, mephisto( if they have any) Dinafem, Solfire, Humboldt seeds. I haven't gotten to these yet but people I trust have shown great results. When you do find a good one post it so we know as well eh ?

Archive seedbank seems to be another decent one. Thadocta has a thread on RIU. They have some different strains. Looks good anyhow. Seed city is another. Attitude. I personally wish I had the space/time to try alot more

I'm back, my garden is just entering flower stage. Turns out, my seed from ILGM are doing well and are basically uniform. Durban Poison has sativa characteristics, but not as pronounced as my northern lights from ILGM, which isn't pure sativa, but has Thai in it. The northern lights plants are very tall, as the Durban Poison is, so we will see. My seeds from DC seed exchange are doing well too. They're a couple of weeks behind the first seeds, so they're smaller. Train wreck is starting to flower. They're the smallest of my plants. Out of 20 regular seeds, 16 came up, and 3 are males. I'm going to produce seeds. They seem to have the right characteristics.

Yiu're right. With the same stink the sent in the first place. Out of 10 seeds and 10 replacements I got 3 plants. Two are the same strain, I have no idea what the therd one is.. Now, if you want to try to convence me that they care enought to even send a different batch, like the said they did, explain this.
The original and the replacement. The BIN number ins't important, look a the batch number.
Then they had the frigging nerve to tell me that I don't how to start a seed. I am a framer, I live on a farm and have since 1977.
Anyone the buys from them after all the bad stuff popsted on this site deserves them. There are just too meny GOOD places to buy seed to mess with people the put of SOME good seeds and the rest JUNK.
