I really like posting stuff here in RIU, rather than brazilian forums, they talk too much about politics and has not much pacience with new growers.

you kidding! I know motilla, he is older than me but we had a couple of skate sessions at praça XV.

He is well know for his art and his carrer as actor doing the Cara De Cavalo guy.

Where you know him from?

I work as a videomaker and Ive been skating for more than 15 years. Its more like a passion than work.

RIght now Im running a production company you know, business, money we all need. But if I could my main focus on life would be music, film, skate and friends.

this is a video from my crew that we had the pleasure to posted on Thrasher.

This is a video part I filmed in 1 week with my homie Luan De Oliveira

Nowadays I film and edit more than I skate but I always find some time to do what I love.

Just wanted to share with you guys...
Its been a long time since I dont grow anything my self. after 5 years Im getting back to it!

Here is my setup:

60cm X 60cm X 140cm Grow tent inside my cabinet in my home studio, behind my drumms.

No fan intake, just outtake.
70w In-line Fan in a isolated sound box Pulling air from the tent to outside the cabinet.
(Didnt calculate the change of air but the in-line fan is pretty strong.)

Crazy that with some Glass wool technics I manage to bring the noise down to almost none.

2 cbx3590 cob leds with heat sink (meanwell drivers). total 120w - 3000k

I know Im throwing air to the same room but I got a big window on the studio and it was the only choice I had.

Also I have a AC here to use just in case. Temps go crazy in summer around here in Brazil. sometimes 40 celcius outsite. So I always have my AC power during summer time.

My friends came here a couple of times to Jam, no one notice anything. Of course the room is sound treated but its sounds just like a AC.

Im running 50% Sphagnum 50% Perlite
Using RO Water
GH Flora Series + CaliMagic Thats it!

Any thoughts?

I don't use RO but I start using cal-mag three weeks after the first true leaves have appeared. Others may reply differently but I see no benefit of adding it so early in my own grows.

Very nice setup and a really nice studio.

So yes, I have two thoughts.

First, for a stealth setup and your friends coming over and not wanting them to notice anything, did you forget about the smell? You should really get a good carbon filter man if you're going for a complete stealth. Temperature is certainly an issue you will suffer from when your temp hits 40 degrees outside and when the temperature rises, the smell gets much more intense so it's great that you have an AC in there. My recommendation! Find a way to route this duct to outside directly, that maybe the only way to really control the smell.

Second thought, 120w total light power over an area which is 4 feet square (60cm x 60cm) is about 30 Watt per square foot which is not a lot. you might want to achieve 40 or even better 50 watts per square foot or your yields will suffer and it won't make much sense to get low yields after all that.

Thanks for the reply my friend.

First of all, thanks for your time and all the recommendations.

For the stealth part, It dont need to be thaaat stealthy. I smoke weed all day in my studio everyone in the building is aware of it.
The only persons allowed to come inside my studio are my closest friends that I trust, musicians that I work with, some of them even grow weed.
Almost all of them smoke it. I know the smell is totally diferent but will not be a concern at all.

I have a pretty good AC unit here for summer time (I run the unit all day and night during the first 2 months just to let the room stay at 24c stable. thats what I like!)

Right now is Autumm here, temps outside go from 18c minimum to 32c maximum. My tent with only the exaust fan is doing 28c on a 25c outside.

The peak of summer start around december 21. temps on summer go from 28c minimum to 40c maximum. 40c is rare, 28c also. only a couple of days on summer can hit 40c. the temps are stable between 32c to 36c (during the day) and 26c to 32 at night. But I got the AC anyway.

I know the best way is throw the air outside directly, but my studio is sound treated, isolated and treated. so I got double walls, double floor and double ceiling + acoustic treatment, even if I wanted the walls are pure concrete the flor is even worse. the only way was to create a hole in the ceiling but its a tripple layer ceiling with glass wool insde. I cant mess with a duct goin inside anyware but plain sight. Not only will ruin the look but will be very noticeable and noisy and annoying. I got a big window like I said, and AC for higher temps. Think Im good.

Im considering adding another 60w cob light for bloom. but for now I will leave it like it is.

Thanks again brother!

I used to grow with a 250w hps with carbond filter, bigger exhaust fan (damn that thing was loud!) cool tube and everything. temps were my bigest problems, my tent was hitting 32c easy.
The plants suffer a bit but I end up with a good amount of weed, 2 plants 64grams dry and a lot of knowledge! I think the process is the key. All my life Ive been enjoying the process of doing things not just the results. Its in the process where you learn and end up knowing more about yourself.

Oh, you living on the southern hemisphere really is mind bending for me :D. When you say that your peak summer starts at 21 December, that's peak winter for me!

Anyway, you seem to have everything figured out, good for you! And have a wonderful grow my friend.
