does anyone have step by step instructions on how to make them and what i would need to buy for it?

I set up a pretty nice outdoor stealth growbox a while ago. I had a trash bin, with about a 2x2 base and about 4.5 feet tall. I found a portable camping heater in there that kept the appropriate temperature. Then I ran a extension cord out to the bin (you kind of have to bury it), for four 20 watt cfls. Then I drilled some holes in near the bottom, and covered it with cuttings from panty hoes for air circulation. It worked pretty good, too.

Why not use a large trash can? It's inconspicuous and large enough to fit a potter and plant in! You could just paint the inside white, turn the trash can upside-down and slip it over your potter! Cheap AND stealthy!

It was a trash can, but it wasn't metalic. I kind of worded it wrong, it looked like this:

I'd advise not to flip it over though, then you loose a lot of heat into the ground. I just taped the lid on.

The only metal trash cans I've ever seen were in the wrestling programs...
The only problem I see with not turning it upside-down is the complications that will arise when you have to do anything that involves reaching into the container...like pruning or testing pH. Sure, you can just pull the plant out of the canister, but what will happen when the plant is too heavy to pick up or too bushy to get your hands through without damaging the plant?

i would have to say bad due to the points that the man above me stated, probably not very well ventalated, your plants will probably mold, if there is ventalation,

how do you put in a ventillation system? what do you use?

its a 4x12 marshall. i took the speaks out and lined it up with mylar. its 14"W x 24"H x 24" L. im going to be putting 4 CFL bulbs from top of my box hanging for movement with hooks and Y extentions with 2 19W and 2 23W on opposite sides.
for ventilation i intend to be cutting out the back of the stack for intake and outtake fans putting outake near the bulbs and intake near the plant base. plus im going to be putting a oscillating fan inside. i have a digital thermometer and digital humity for levels. my temps are bangin with it all runnin. i got a timer im going to set so im straight with that.
now my seeds are comin for automatic hindu kush. it only grows 14" tall tops and i have 24" for room and 6" pot. perfect. it just grows bushy and thick. ill have pictures when i set it all up.
if anyone has any feedback id take it as it comes but im seriously makin this a stealth marshal grow room.
ill call her marsha.
40 humidity is that high?
