Stealth grow found.. lil help

So my 400 watt tent grow was discovered by my parents... I had to remove it from the unfinished basement asap. I have a buddy that I trust said I could move everything to his basement. Its a pretty legit basement and his family is rarely home and when they are never go into the basement so Im not worried about it being there for now. My family was more concerned with cops finding it when at my house because of my brother that is a bit of a shit disturber and sometimes has the cops show up at our door. If the smell gets bad or the cops smell anything from the door she is worried about cops getting search warrants and busting me for two plants. I love growing and dont want to have to go to my friends just to check up on my girls.

Does anyone know where I can find some legal information concerning growing plants in Ontario? All I want to do is grow even just one plant under my 400watt. My main concern is being caught and not being able to leave the country because I love to travel. If growing one plant isnt as big a deal as my family thinks maybe I can bring it back. Any info you guys have is great.

Lets see... Where to start. Unless you live in a mansion, idk how you thought you were gonna hide a 400w tent grow from your parents... Not advocating growing in your parents house or anything, but if you WERE to, I'd say a tiny cfl pc grow woulda been a way better option. I don't mean this in a terribly bad way, but if you were stupid enough to try to have a 400w tent going on and hoping it wouldn't be found, I think your parents are right to be worried about the cops with your brother and all... And based off the info you gave me, I couldn't afford a 400w lights, ballast, tent, fan, etc etc. But maybe you shoulda put the money from that into moving out and you can grow to your hearts content. Especially if you love travelling. You can't have the best of both man... I blew money on my stealth op, and now I can't go anywhere do much b/c I'm broke. But that's what happens, you roll with it. For you, just for peace of mind, I'd leave it at a friends house and don't try to convince your parents. Better to just move out and do your own thing. Anyways, shit sucks but just be happy that it was your parents and not the cops.

Get your own place. Then you can do almost whatever the fuck you want.


If its only smell your worried about get a carbon filter.

i don't think there is a country in the world, let alone canada that prosecutes people caught growing one cannabis plant. if there is i don't want to go to that country.

a life lived in fear is a sad one. i don't fear getting caught, i fear not getting away with something that could have made my life better.

get your own place asap and grow in peace.

We have all been there... pretty sure a good chunk of us have grown something in or around or parents house when we shouldnt have. I did. Its definitelt not a nice thing to do to the parents, but im not one to judge especially since i did the same thing :p.
If your parents are not ok with it, dont keep doing it or try to convince them. Talk to them about it gradually and respectfully, maybe then they will be ok with it, especially if you prove to them that they wouldnt be at risk of losing their house over 1 plant.
Outdoors might be one way to go, a pc grow that was suggested earlier would be good to.
Either way, good luck and ps.. a tent grow isnt exactly stealthy :p

My basement isnt finished so I had it blended in with storage and some other crap laying around. I found the tent+light and exhaust fan on kijiji for 200, and got a few cheap fans on sale at walmart. That wouldn't really cover rent anywhere id want to move out too. It was ok with my parents at first when they found it a few weeks ago because it isnt really a big setup but then they changed they're minds when the cops started making more frequent visits due to my brother.

I cant buy my own house, I wish. I was renting a place for a few years but didnt start a grow at that house because it seemed alot sketchier growing out of a house I was renting vs the basement of my parents house.

This is what I wanted to do. Convince them that even just one plant cant be that bad if absolute worst case scenario cops busted in and found it. My mom is kind of old school and she doesnt like anything illegal or morally wrong, but she is a gardener so allowed it when she discovered it and they were small. Now at 2 weeks flower after 6 weeks veg and more cop visits she had enough and asked for them to move out.

dude it's your parents house and the cops have shown up several times? what if your brother decides to make a beeline for the basement w the police in tow? what if they get a search warrant? now you're making it your parents problem, just like your brother is... :/ it's not right to place even more of a burden on your parents than they already have.

eta definitely wouldn't recommend doing it at someone else PARENTS' house either... i mean jeez

This kind of stuff makes me sad because my family doesn't have a problem with weed. My mom saw me setting stuff around in my closet and kind of just laughed it off. Educate the people you know about who might have a problem yo.

you live in someone else's house and they told you to get rid of it so just do it.. your all of what 16-17 and live at home so when you grow up to be a big boy then you can get your own place to as stated do what ever you want to.. and if your a grown damn man living in your moms basement then dude grow up and move out..
