This company is so terrible, they warrant their own thread. I ordered 2 600W systems including ballasts(which I'm sure won't last long either). The first shipment was completely mangled by the carrier, so they re-shipped and forgot to include chains. But that was just the beginning, this company manufactures their own HPS bulbs, and they suck. I didn't get 2 months out of either bulb. And their customer service sucked even more, so I finally gave up and took a trip to the local hydro store for replacement bulbs.

Do not buy from them!.

we have a htg store here , some will swear by it being a great place to shop, I went in one time looking to get a better price than msrp on an item, they wouldn't meet online prices and NOBODY else sold the fucking thing, I walked out and they made my boycott list, haven't looked back. I shop exclusively at a mom and pop hydro shop and they def do me right.

I bought a 400w system from them back in 2011, still going strong.The carrier mangled your first shipment and they sent another? All they forgot was some chains that cost 5 bucks at Walmart? Did you contact them about the missing chains? What did the say?

I used my htg 400w hps bulb for a year before retiring it, always gave me good results

I don't care how much they charge...a hell of a lot cheaper for lights than my local hydro store, that is for sure. I don't shop there anymore, and the only thing I've ever bought from them was the 400w system. Do the majority of my shopping on eBay and amazon now, and get larger items like 50l bags of expanded clay medium at the local shop.

I was merely testifying to the quality of the product I received.

Never really had any issues .... yet.

Watch out for their cfl bulbs. They overheat really easy. Gotta keep them suckers far apart.

Other than that I haven't had problems. Theyre 2 bulb T5 Teklight had no problems.

They are a good source for panda, ph gear, square pots, drip trays and tents.

I don't really care what they charge either because I don't shop there. I've shopped one store exclusively and I do spend quite a bit of money at times.Have had a few warranty issues and they've fixed me right up, even got a loaner ballast when my brand new phantom went out (which I bought from them and got a hell of a nice deal on that and a hortilux lamp), try that with htg . htg is a corporate machine, mom and pop are just a couple good folks trying to survive, I'll support them even if it means paying more.

The local shop just opened near here I went to, their prices beat HTG for the most part anyways due to shipping costs. When the first bulb went, I figured it to be defective...then the second went out last week. And it sounds like they have 1 guy doing everything when you call, terrible company.

Glad I found the local place as well.

Of course I contacted them, and they offered to replace their shitty bulbs I don't want. I couldn't wait a week for their replacement bulbs anyways, plants are in mid-flower.

So they sent a replacement after the first shipment was mangled, and offered to replace the bulbs that went out? Was he rude to you? Sounds like decent customer service to me. What was the main problem if they replaced or offered to replace what was wrong n the first place? Mabe your postal carrier is just a brute who throws your packages around. Sounds like you got a 'lemon', but they offered to fix your issues, and the ballasts are still running, yeah?

Won't be using them again, case closed.

Since the nearest store is several hundred miles from me I have them ship to me. Never had any problems, no complaints, good quality merch.. Sounds like somebody has an attitude.

I love HTG, they are only a few miles from me and have great prices. The customer service has been fantastic every time I go there and I have only had a problem with a single ballast I bought from them ( out of 60). With the one problem I had the manager even met me at the shop on a Sunday when they are normally closed, I couldn't of asked for anything more from them. Your issue seems to be a rarity and they seemed to take steps to resolve the problem that a normal person would be fine with.

I only dealt with them in 2009. I bought four 400 watt setup and specifically requested magnetic ballasts even though they were back ordered. I received digital ballast setups. I called to get them replaced but was told I would get a return label to ship back the wrong order. I expressed some concerns about keeping my grow schedule and was told to just keep the wrong order and they will send me the right one when they come in. I ended up with eight systems for the price of four. I have had no issues with either setup or the bulbs. I ran them for two years before moving back to SoCal and switching to 600 watters.

They had good customer service and their product didn't suck too bad. The reflectors were cheesy but worked for me as I battled the cold in WA.

I ordered some shit from HTG once and the box It came in was the manufacturers box instead of brown box. Discreet my ass. Aint nothing like coming home to a box of grow equipment sitting on the porch for all to see. I was fucking pissed.
This may be off subject but I ordered two 8 bulb t5s from another company on ebay. The orders were placed bout 3 weeks apart. The first came, no problem. The second came, No problem. Both had brown boxes on the outside. Then bout two weeks later I received a third fixture that I did not order. I think their shipping dept. got messed up by the duplicate orders. This last light did not have a brown outer box so I had a 4 foot 8 bulb t5 sitting on my porch for bout an hour till I got home. Box said HIGH OUTPUT T5 GROW LIGHT in big fucking letters. Freaked me the fuck out. I did not know whether to send it back or keep it. I ended up keeping it. But to me a 250 dollar light aint worth the ups guy and any neighbors who seen it. I figured the damage was already done so I might as well keep it. Luckily my Ups guy is pretty cool. Just think bout how many hands that light passed thru at shipping hubs and shit. Luckily it only came from one state away. I hate paying full price for stuff my local hydro store wont match online prices. I do get a 10% discount but I can still get way better deals on ebay on many things. Still most of the time I just bite the bullet and pay the store price in cash at my local store. At least the girl who runs it is hot.
