China is to Japan what Cuba is to us. We tried that once, we could have taken it, but the age of imperialism ended before we had our chance. Try administering a land that's thousands of miles away, it's not very pragmatic.

It's better we didn't take Cuba. Now Cuba has some of the largest, untouched coral reefs and wetlands in the world. If the US had anything to do with that, it would be gone and replaced with condos, night clubs, and casinos.

this guy was apitomy of class. never heard a peep outa him being near death. he just bowed out gracfully. We need more men like him
he never used focus groups or consumer trials. everything he did was just though his gut instinct:

Apple has been lost since they made MacBooks and IPhones. The only thing new they do is put more space on them, and that video phone thing. But that's just a webcam. They have made anything actually new in a while. And now Steve is dead. I mean they've probably got money for the R&D of new stuff. But there is nothing new to put out, and they aren't onto anything from what I've heard.
They're just putting out the same old technology in a new phone (2,3,4...is there a 5?) Then acting like they made something new.

Im sure steve wrote down how he wanted apple to move forward in the years, but I dont think apple will be able to stay going as strong as they are now for many years.

We really do need more people like him, he was amazing, he did things no one thought was possible. and he did it all in a short amount of time,
Just imagine what he could have done if he lived to be 66, another 10 years,
