Still no independent review of the GeekBeast Pro???

Anyone have any updates using these? I grabbed x2 Meijiu A8-650w panels and they are good, I've just had allot of issues dealing with Meijiu. I need to switch out the remaining CMH 630's I have and am looking for a different supplier.

Wondering how everyone is making out with these panels and if they have noticed any increase in quality using the UV?

The calculation for the Geekbeast is incorrect.
If it costs $ 799 and it has 628 Watts, then the costs per Watt can not be $ 2.33.
It must be $ 1.27.
Also the numbers for the Lumatek/Photontek 465 are off.

So when these numbers are off, then perhaps there are more numbers off.

I did notice that too. And even in the comments that statement was made. But overall the light performed how it should and slaps. It put up numbers similar to gavitas at almost half the price.

I noticed it too.
All the members I know are curious about the light.
All the unknown members with little activity or that have recently joined are spreading the word with enthusiasm.
There has to be at least one sock spreading the word IMO.

Send the beast to @hybridway2 for a side by side.

Damn right! And Flat-Intigigration (Par-Mapping)testing & comparison.
Having a real hard time believing allot of these claims as well. Like you said. The #'s simply do NOT like up on many.

Nothing better than validation from the man himself!!

I just finished my first grow with the GeekBeast and my flowers came out beautifully. The only issue I'm still battling is high temperatures in my tent. It sounds like Shane is saying that one GeekBeast actually puts out too much output for a 4x4... so I may be able to crank them down to 75% and still get comparable results and bring the temperatures down.

I'm seriously considering buying one of these lights. It seems to check a lot of boxes. My understanding is that it's a Chinese made light?? That being said, if it is using legitimate diodes and other components, what are the drawbacks? It seems to be reasonably priced and the spec's for the money seem very good. From what I can gather the driver is able to be mounted outside of a tent/remotely. Seemingly, that will have a big impact on the temperature in the grow space. What's not to like? Anyone using these and are you happy with them? Thanks

Yes, thanks, I've seen them there. However, when you factor in shipping and difficulty in processing warranty claims, it's probably worth it to buy from the US supplier. They are offering a better warranty and one would expect better customer service. Also, I don't mind supporting American businesses selling foreign products as long as the mark up is not too much and they are truthful about where there product is manufactured.
