Ok, this is my first indoor grow. Its a closet grow. I have no way to fully seal off (air-tight), and keep the heat down. Stink is only in the bedroom of the closet, exhaust fan in closet vents outside thru carbon. Has anyone ever tried one of those ionizers or maybe those carbon hepa purifiers? Im just wondering if it will work before i spend too much on an air purifier for one room. If anyone has tried this before and knows, pls let me know, also which one would work better...if at all?

i have uses the hepa airfilter and yes it works great!!!! dont put in closet use directly outside door of grow area... it will clear the smell out... also i have herd some bad sotrries on some cheaper brands... like dont cover smell and completely stop working at times... but like i said the hepa works great for me... just remeber it asks for a new filter i think every 6 months to a year... with the smell of canabis it will nead a change about every 3 months that cost about $20 for 3 refill filters...

unless you get it sealed you will always have smell issues look for a carbon sock a 6 inch one cost me 70 bucks and you just throw them in yhe dryer and recharge them,no need to replace them.i`ve used mine bout 6 months and no smell they say it should last a year before recharge

I made a carbon sock, works great with door shut and vent flap open, BUT, even with fans and air cooled hood, Temps are gettin HOT here. So I have to leave door crackd a little to let more cold air in. hot air hot. Think my fan isnt good nuff, but it works great at night. Also DONT try the carbon pre-filter in the ac, itl just freeze the mother up.

sounds like fan isn`t enough.how many cfm? you cause a bit of back pressure with the filters. i made this mistake when i started and bought a bunch of different things going cheep. but in the end i bought the carbon sock for 70 bucks and never have to replace it. what i learned from that lesson ( more than once) is buy cheep buy twice! some old guy told me that and i tried to prove him wrong, but he is right and i swear by that theory. look them up, thier called odor sock, gauranteed for life, and no i dont work for them, just love the product.

i found the hepa`s dont work for the value, and having to replace filters get pricey. more plants less life.

Fan is 250 cfm, for a 180 closet, but i think that is max, I dont think it does like 120, so I think il be alright for now, smell is containd in room, I live in the woods, NO neighbors. Only a meter man to read power. exhaust air doesnt smell at all coming out, all is cool for now

your intake holes should be about twice the size as the exhaust holes. also dont know how you built your filter but mabee it`s packed to tight causing back pressure so the fan wont work proper. hell if i had no nieghbors i wouldn`t even use a filter, i just love the smell of some good been`s flowering. Mmmmmmmm!

I grow in a closet, and heat is a bytch round here... my closet has never dropped below 78 F and smell was a big issue...

I have a Holmes air purifier i bought from walmart for 20 bucks... its good for3 months before you have to change the filter... works like a charm... the first time i used it, it had my room smelling like a fresh spring and shyt..lol
