Strains for the UK outdoors?

Hey all! I'm preparing for a grow next year (buying a greenhouse, prepping the garden, etc) and would like to know which seeds are likely to be good for the UK outdoor climate come next season.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I hear Green Crack is good, but I can't find much else in terms of advice on Google! I just want to grow for personal use - UK medical cannabis is so freakin' expensive at the minute!

Anything autoflower based. Unless you are far down south then might get away with a photoperiod but if u want a better yield go with autos. Less chance of the autumnal rains turning the buds to mush as well

I am about as far south and west in the UK as you can get and photos are too hard to bother with. Autos are great though. It is so mild here I could nearly do two runs of Autos.

I have done 5 RQS Northern Lights Autos (freebies) and got 10oz for my efforts and it was fucking awesome, probably the nicest weed I have ever grown. Just in gro-bag tomato compost and fed Tomorite once a week. They are just in a cheap poly tunnel. I normally drop seeds in 17L pots and let them get on with it, about mid May is great for me.

Yea I grew a few this year outdoors and was surprised by how big one got!

Yea the NL is a good smoke! Not tried the rqs version but seedsman was very nice. Tasted like skunky jam.

have you heard of fast versions? I’ve got a killer kush f1 fast version outside just now. Nights have been like 3-4c and days like 10-14c. Didn’t think anything would come of it so wasn’t fed until I saw it throwing out pre flowers early September hence why it’s mostly yellow and small lol

might work better for you down there as I’m in Scotland.

I did the 5 Autos in 2021. That was enough smoke, for me, for nearly a year. They were a bit of fun. I did one Auto this year and got an OZ, TBH I did very little to it and it started early so was quite small. They look proper nice. I have to buy some seeds soon so I might look what places have freebies.

I’m from Southern Ontario but close-ish I guess I relative growing conditions. I’ve grown for the past 3 years and 2 of 3 worked/working for me pretty good. So far my overall best performing for yield and hardiness against cold/rain/pests/wpm.

Do-Si-Dos - Canuk Seeds just took mine down today. Just a little rot on one nugg, no wpm issues, and only some mite damage but never harmed the plant overall
Black Domina - World of Seeds best yielding plant still after 3 years. I trained her out in a 20g garbage can and yielded 1723g wet. No issues but one nugg or rot from resting on a tomato cage.
Cinderella 99 - Canuk Seeds taking my plant down in a few days but smells amazing, no wpm issues, some mites issues but seem to of kept them at bay. Looks like +800g wet at least and took a sample and enjoyed
Gorilla Zkittlez - Barney’s Farm I took mine down a few days ago 1045g(w)/303g(d), some wpm issues (so defoliate during flowering to avoid) and works wonderfully
Northern Lights - Canuk Seeds I grew a clone from my past tent grow, still outside in mid October and is green as can be. No wpm issues, mites tried/quit pretty early on, looking very frosty but wish colas were a bit thicker.

How did it go for you this season?

It's been unusually mild here I've not seen frost yet, the nasturtiums are still growing.

Oh nice they look good!

Went alright actually. Plants got to a good size but biggest one was really susceptible to mould. By the time august comes dew a tarts forming and lost over half the plants to it. Need to start a bit earlier.

Purple punch was the most mould resistant tho, took ages to show even a bit of mould.
