Strange Leaves?

so i was at my buddys place checking out his grow (13 bubblegum) they are all very healthy about a foot and a half tall. hes starting flowering next week but we noticed on one of the plants there are some extra out of place leaves that neither of us have ever seen before and wondered if anyone else has or knows why they are growing like this?

interesting. It's somewhat rare but you'll sometimes see new growth points emerge from fan leave stems or like 3 new growth points at each node and other oddities, its not enviroment based from everything ive read and seen of it. its just some crazy genetics. Let us know how it turns out. Are they from feminized seeds? ive never had the luck of having a mutant that was female so i could see how that effected flowering it in person, 3/3 males so far.

I had one do that, he was up to 13's before I found his balls.
I made sure no one would ever find him.

thanks for the info! not sure on the gender yet as he just put them into flowering yesterday but he got the seeds and i also got some of the same seeds from our other buddys plant that turned hermie. not sure why it was hermie, we havent gone that much into detail about them but i will definetly let you know!
