Strange Problem ..Any Ideas?

Hello everyone my Nirvana NL ( DWC ) Grow is now into the middle of the third week of flower and a few days ago I started to notice some of the fan leaves are curling downward and getting very skinny. About a week ago I did a 6 hour flush before going full strength on my nutrients. After the flush I feed ( Pro-Tekt , Bloom , Mag-Pro ) all DG along with a little SM-90. This last feeding was the highest PPM's the entire grow and came out to approx 512 ppm, seems as if this strain does not like heavy nutes at all as I had slight nute burn issues during veg when I went higher than 450ppm and that was well into veg ( 6-7 weeks ). My Ph has been pretty constant between 5.8 - 6.1. But during the time I started noticing this issue the Ph would drop daily down to 4.8 - 5.2 which was strange as it has been pretty consistent up until this. Assuming this has something to do with Nutrients , I am currently flushing again with distilled water only at 6.0 Ph . I am thinking of letting it flush for the next 48 hours and then adding a lower dose of my nutrients and maybe keep the ppm's right around 400 max ... Any suggestions ? Also I was wondering could this be a natural thing for this strain in flowering? I have never flowered NL before and kind of just playing it by eye and ear ..Thanks in advance for any info

Here are a few pics depicting what I am speaking of .....

From what I've read the tips of leaves curl under and "claw" like that mostly from N tox which also fits the fact that your leaves are super dark green. I'm no expert by any means but I do read a lot of books and forums on cannabis. Also the sticky about def/tox in this section has tons of great info. Good luck man.

a good flush sounds like a good plan. looks like too much N to me too. try your nutes at half strength for a week and see what happens.

how do the roots look? nice and white? not slimy or smell funny?

Thanks DIY thats what I was seeing too was N tox on everything I looked up .. What is strange though is I have switched to the " Bloom 3-12-6 " and " Mag-Pro 2-15-4 " from the " Grow 7-9-5 " is was running during veg... So adding that up I am looking a 5-27-10 NPK ratio which is why something just don't seem right on why I am getting N toxic signs .. Hopeing this 2 day flush straightens things out .. Thanks for the feedback :)

I have it in a Scrog bro .. I have not seen the roots for approx 3 weeks now .. But they looked great nice and white when I did the switch and put in Scrog. Think 2 days is too long for Flush? Def gonna try to do your suggested half strength on first feeding after flush , something is too hot from the looks of things. Thanks for the feedback

Hmm... What frequency did you water with ferts and at what strength of recommended? Think of it like when you add ferts to the soil they take "x" amount of time before they are all used up. So if you feed to frequently it can kind of have a stacking effect. So if you loaded up on the N heavy ferts in veg and didn't do enough flushing then it could now be exhibiting the issues. My dad had burn issues caused by the same thing and it would happen to him after 7 weeks of life wether he vegged for 2 weeks or 5 they burned at 7 because he fed to frequently and at some point the plants just couldn't keep up. Kind of went off on a rant hope it makes sense lol.

the sm90 should kill anything and everything so they "should" be fine. i like a sterile root zone in dwc too.

i always did a 24hr flush in dwc. i'd start the flush right at lights on and then change the water out right before the lights went out. i thought it was better than keeping the same water for the whole 24hrs.

are you following the DG feed chart?

Disregard that. Just realized the "dwc" part man... My bad.

I don't have an up to date Dyna-Gro DWC chart so I have been going with the recommenced dose on the bottle ..but starting from quarter strength , half strength and then working up to the full strength recommended. 24 Hr Flush sounds great as well ;-) . Also love the SM-90 too , just knowing its in the res makes me feel better about the root zone lol..Luv the stuff !!!!!

Wow think you just nailed it !!!!! I usually feed and change out res once a week .. however now you mentioned it ..after the flush they ate allot of nutes and I added more nutes mid week .. I bet that is what I did was over-feed by frequency and was stacking the nutes .. I am hoping this flush gets me back on track now .. I am almost positive you hit the nail on the head here, I didn't even think about that till you mentioned it .. Good Catch :o

You were talking soil I think DIY but same principle I think.. Only thing I can think of of why they would have any tox issues .. Wow, LOL
Yeah man my bad. I've never grown dwc but I bought all the shit I need and that's my next challenge after this harvest is to switch. I don't know if it works the same as far as frequency of feeding but hopefully you've got it figured out now!!

dwc is awesome! you will never go back to dirt again. pH is critical and also avoiding root rot. the only thing bad about it is problems can happen very fast since the roots are always in solution.

just checked out the chart. half strength should be 7.5ml of bloom, 1ml magpro, 2.5ml protekt per gallon. are you using distilled as your water? i always use distilled or RO water for hydro. that way the only thing in the water is what you put in it.

good luck! that flush should get you back to normal and then start the feedings out slowly and work up.

Yeah I've been reading a bit and all those points are very common lol. I can't wait to see the yield difference! And keep all this damn dirt off my floor!!!

Yep Distilled Water .. I wanted too use R/O water but it seems to be very hard too find around here and I can get Distilled almost anywhere. The water I start with has a 000 ppm sometimes 003 but a good base ;-). Thanks for the chart I will give that a shot after this flush. This is my first DWC grow from soil and your right don't think I could ever go back now .. This is really the only issue I have has so far other than minor nute burn during veg. So hopefully after a few runs I will have it down to a science lol. Much appreciated guys ... Ill post back in a few days and see if things are looking up :-D

I usually do my res change and feedings every Friday .. Think it would be a good idea to just flush till then and start light on Friday with nutes or think its too long for a flush? I was thinking it may be good to give it that long of a flush since there are signs of tox ?

i wouldn't go that long. then you might start getting deficiencies and have a new problem.

i never feed full strength. i use EC not ppm and i usually feed around 1.0 to 1.2 (you can convert that to ppm depending on what type of meter you use).

i changed my res out every week. in between, i would just top off with RO or distilled and no nutes. when you add nutes instead of plain water, you run the risk of overfeeding because you don't really know what they are eating N,P, or K wise. they might have only eaten a bit of N and then you give more N and then you have a tox issue.

after every 2 weeks, i'd give a 24hr flush to clean out excess nutes and have a clean slate.
