I usually find the colas of the plant get done before the lower branches that just have not recieved as much light love as the colas so I harvest the top and put the rest of the plant back into flowering to finish up. :leaf:
it is a sativa trait thing...
"Another point on which there is much agreement is the fact that sativas tend to mature less uniformly than indicas. This has to do with the tall structure and the fact that flowering time is generally longer. In pure sativas the typical phenomenon is that lower branches tend to finish earlier, while the top part of the plant still shoots new flower clusters."

but.. seriously i need to find out why my tops of my colas are not sticky like the rest... its trippin me out. There are no signs of bud rot or burn or anything. Humidity is normal... wtf could it be?

i would think it has something to do with the leaves that look like they are half brown/half dead. it is normal for the fan leaves to yellow and stuff, but several of the fan leaves look good on the close to the stem and at the end, looks like someone physically burned them. there is def a problem there.. i would guess heat stress or a ph issue. not 100% though :/
i am mainly referring to the leaves in pic #3..

honestly it cannot be heat. my temps never get over 85 usually around 82.. and my light is about a foot away.

Also Im thinking PH too.. because I do not check my PH and havent this entire grow... so im thinking its that.. but could that dry out a freakin cola????

scroll to the PH problem section.. my fan leafs look like this. Because i dont test my PH if i start to.. test will it correct the problem... how do you fix nute lockout from PH issues?
flush with ph perfect water

5.8-6.3.....i tend to shoot for a 6.2-6.4 ph in my water

but ya that should correct your ph problem and if that wasnt the problem atleast you know the ph is in the right spot

so I just tested my tap water it comes out at like 8.0 ..... so Im like 99% sure all of my problems have been due to PH.

The thing about flushing is.. I lose like alot of soil if i flush 15 gallons through each pot.. shud i just add more ontop???

also.... if i were to flush with PHed water, and start watching my PH how soon will my problem clear up... I think my Dry cola's have somthing to do with PH being really off....

things should get better within a week and get back on track
i would add more soil if your losing a lot during a flush too like you said

indeed pH problems over here too...But I do have to say this strain is one of a few doing this...there are other strains w/ the same conditions with no wilting or rust reactions at all.

i also water with tap water and before i got my 30$ ph tester i used strips (which im not so great at) and come to find out the ph of the tap is around 8.7ish . also used half potting (but could have ben topsoil) and half dirt from the ground (fairly rich dirt though) for my soil. the plants exibited the same brown spots but it was not exclusive to the tips of the leaves. not to mention i had heat problems but recently got it fixed.

sense then i have got a ph tester (a shit load of other stuff some of which is the fox farm nutrients) and new soil and perlite. 5 days after planting a clone in the new soil mix it has grown more than i expected and is doing much better than rooted clones in the old mix(shit).

well all in all very nice plants. and i skipped a lot so mabey ill visit this thread when im not blazed.
