Studying while high?

I'm off on vacation for a few weeks and I have to start off work with a week long course when I go back.
It's pretty intensive and requires reading the material beforehand to come in, write daily tests to finish the course on time.

I've been out of school for over a decade, like to get high after work or wake n bake on my days off. My work is in structural steel erection, and the class is of the same topics- so not totally new to me, but very dry boring subject.

Should I try to quit cold turkey and study on my holidays?
Read while high, but reread multiple times?
I just don't want to waste my time, sober or trying to study buzzed without success;
but figured I'll ask here.
Anyone make progress studying
W a mild buzz going?

I think I know the answer to my question... but I'm holding out hope I can have my cake and eat it too.

Everybody’s different. What works for you might not work for me.

Will you be smoking or otherwise taking cannabis on your weeks-long vacation?

If so, bring along a challenging sample of the material and a self-test or three. (Read the text. Twice even.)

If not, consider exploiting the sobriety window and postponing a victory smoke until after the week of coursework.

I instructed at a college, and my advice to the students was to do every homework problem in the text, whether assigned or not. A few students listened, and that subset tended to be at the top of the grade sheet.

This is insiders information I was looking for!

This is an important course for me, I don't want to leave anything on the table. But I'd like to enjoy myself as well!
I'll get into it regardless.

Study for a few hours each day, sober, then burn one in the evening.

That's true, I'll get out what I put into it.

I'm already looking forward to "the first time" bake. I'm going to sit down and plan out my reading schedule to be sure I give myself more than enough time to absorb it all.
My memory is like cheese cloth nowadays.
