I was looking through the weed nerd vids to find the episode where he says that he uses Avid as a dip for clones and Weed nerd puppet showed up on the side bar in the recommended vids section. Whoever this guy is, he's hilarious. It looks like he lives in San Diego as some vids are about their mayor and he shows local SD beaches.

The facial hair is spot on. LOL

i've done a few strains by TGA Subcool and they're amazing. even better than the high times cannabis cup winners that i tried. im not sure where all this bad talk is coming from. in fact i don't even want to grow anything else anymore unless it's from them. dna genetics, barneys farm, a few others, they were all good. just didn't cut it for me compared to subcool. if they're dicks them maybe just not deal with them and get the seeds through a 3rd party like attitude, nirvana, single seed centre, or a bunch of other legit listed companies on this site. the real guys are probably just too busy to deal with everyone and get frustrated. to me a lot of it is just people wanting top strains so they can sell clones and dope way over priced and make a shit load of money when this whole thing was supposed to be medical and compassionate.

Cool that you think they're amazing. You should keep growing them, then. People here have a different opinion, and they've explained why. In reality, though, most forums I've been to don't hold TGA in high regard. Just an observation.

radrolley. If you are going to be monogamous w/TGA, then you shouldn't direct people to Nirvana for their gear. (real bad feelings there, between them 2.)
For further research try any strain from rare dankness and bodhi perhaps.

Not to pick, but one concern regarding TGA comes from growers in the PNW (Washington, Oregon). They have a lot of Powdery Mildew (PM) and TGA doesn't hold up well. Some have speculated lower natural immune responses, I certainly have no idea and have never even seen PM that I'm aware of. That's what others have said is all.

I run a couple TGA strains...

One of them (Space Jill) is seriously awesome, but others are not impressive...I have not seen any PM issues yet, my Space Jill keeper is hardy and overall a great plant.

I have a 5 pack of 'Deep Purple' seeds I am sitting on, as I need some Urkle in my life!

But it seems like the 2 interesting strains he has, Space Jill and Deep Purple, are the work of others, re released under TGA (Think C99 and Urkle)

I really just dont get why anyone would waste time watching those hipster dressed baby boomers listen to bad rock music and smoke hash, he should stick to the garden tours and learn to hold his tongue...respect is earned.

Space Jill- I have JillyBean beans I wasn't going to pop. Stowe things I should try the Vortex I have.

I've seen enough sad, wildly variable "strains" of TGA to know not to even bother. Plus I can't be bothered as a med patient to pheno hunt and have half a damn garden filled up with low yielding plants.
Dont get me wrong as finding an outstanding plant is a fun process as i plant beans every couple weeks, but uniformity is important. Another knock is that I don't give two fucks about taste. I want potency, taste is not even a secondary consideration, particularly if you are growing your own. Ill stick to breeders like bodhi. Woukd like to get some Michigan based beans for fun as well, support local growers and breeders and all that

Shitni didn't even addreas what a dumbass toolbox sub is, but others have already touched base on that. Why beat* a dead horse?

It all depends on experience, growing style, personal preference, and luck.

No matter what pack of seeds you buy from whomever you bought them from.. Even bagseeds... (Chem family, SOMA's NYCD, Cinderella 99 and more all started as bagseed)
There is the possibility of finding something truly Amazing...

Some "Breeders" (not everyone selling seeds is a real breeder...) have better selection methods and spend more time developing their strains...
And some just take dank strains drop pollen on a bitch and sell "Lottery" beans... This usually results in mediocre plants for the majority and a few people find killer phenos and post pics online and pass out cuts...
People see all the pics of the 3 amazing phenos that were found and buy those seeds hoping for the same results, and of course when that doesn't happen they get pissed...

People who have limited space, need medicine, and can't afford to have a bad harvest should stick to proven cuts or Feminized seeds from a REPUTABLE breeder who has no history of hermies because fem seeds should be identical to the Mother....

LoL... I forgot what my point was going to be if there was one.. So i guess i'll just leave it at that....
(this post is not directed at SUB, I don't have enough personal experience with TGA to form an opinion)

Yes sir it is. Kinda interested in Triclouds stuff, I should reach out.
Yah dudes stuff looks crazy good... To bad he only passes them out to MI med patients and doesn't use the mail so you gotta meet in person...
BUT he's on NWGT and TSD, so if ur in MI i would take full advantage and grab those beans.... (then send me some..LoL)

Wink wink always possibilities. But he seems to have his shit together and has some great unique genetics that I'd like to run

taste plays huge role in potency, look up terpenes and their effects combined with thc/cbd. then think about how many terpenes are in shit weed lol

I enjoy the taste / feel of a well cured herb. It's part of the refined experience. For me, anyway.
