Suburban, or Country? 4 Security

Hello peopleI am new to your forums and this is first post.

My Question is pretty simple, In regards to choosing a house for a grow, is it better to locate in:

1) Country Location

By personal definition: A setting on the outskirts of suburbia where houses are spaced at on 2 acre plots
(I realize this isnt the conventional idea in terms of what the "country" is; however finding rentals, my only option, in real rural areas is difficult in my experience, on top of that i am a young single male so even if i could find a true rural setting for rent, I don't know it just doesnt strike me as smart .

2)Suburbia

By personal definition: I think most people have a good idea of what im referencing here.

Please weigh in two minds are better than one and i would like to consider all angles before i make any steps

I think you made your choice in your initial post...suburbia sounds like what your leaning towards.

If your legal in your State, and I use the term loosely when I say legal...and you are growing for yourself within the limits you should have no issues as long as you keep your mouth shut from your neighbors. Something to think about!

I think a lot of marijuana growers enjoy their privacy, like to be in a somewhat secluded area, not visible by neighbors or from roads. Just think when you start venting out some really nasty skunky odors directly to the outdoors, that your neighbor that lives 3.5 feet away from you lol wont smell it. I don't know, its all personal preference, I enjoy my privacy, neighbors are to "snoopy", Try sneaking a bunch of hydroponic equipment or soil, lighting, and or clones into your house without them seeing you. make one mistake and they find out, they will get suspicious and your whole grow house idea is gone in that house.

To be honest guys i wouldve thought the same thing, a young single male in the country-ish areas seemed to raise more eyes in terms of suspicion, i mean if i place myself in the eyes of the neighboors, the cops, and people who are leasing the property,(renting is my only option); i would assume a young male who is is renting solo in a rural area would be up to something, especially when the person doesnt throw parties or something like every other college aged kid would on a couple acre peice of land.

To address the medicinal question i never said i was not going that route, i have seen from limited research however that even medicinlly that one assumes certain risks both from the police and rippers, even if your on the up and up so to speak, so to make myself clear i do not wish to be Scarface, your concerns are well founded though and i dont wish to come off defensivily.

Like JamCe said i am leaning to the burbs but i have limited experience and i am sure theres angles im not considering, i welcome all advice supporting or contrary.

I know where your coming from, If your renting, One of my biggest concerns would be with the landlord, you never know when he/she might pop by. Ive been told their supposed to give 24 hour notice before entering premise. Theres one thing to grow a little weed, enough to keep yourself in smoke, get a couple friends high once and while and enjoy your bud. But If your talking like a hundred plant grow inside, its probably not the best idea, when you start selling out of the same house that you are still growing in, its just asking for trouble.

Lol those are all salient points man i wont disagree. i dont think in any juridiction in the US though id have the cojones to go over 99, i dont want 5 years and have no way out of it, in regards to landlords ive rented a few places with little trouble in that area though that is always something to consider, i will ask you though, if you do not mind, what are some mistakes youve made in regards to maintaining a low profile?

Your mouth, you can't tell anybody your business, you can't have friends over, forget family, you got a girlfriend? Bad move.

Lol how about leaving the area you grew up in too, i think in retrospect that its very hard for alot of new growers to just become a loner where they live i mean i tried but that just made people even more curious

Number one rule of growing is to trust no one. People that even grow legally for medicinal purposes have to keep a low profile. Ive heard of people breaking into houses of medicinal marijuana patients and robbing them just because they knew there were marijuana plants there. If you plan on growing in that house I highly suggest not to have people over, chances are anybody and everybody will be able to smell it as soon as they walk in. Cant have family over for any visits, girlfriends are a big no no, unless you can take them to a different place. Thats why a lot of growers have stealth grow rooms. Like underground buses wired up or something along that line. OR go grow outdoors lol.

dont see anything wrong w/ wanting to live in the country(you like to work on stuff, you like the peace and quiet). You have less people to deal w/ therefore less worries. if you are two acres apart smell is of almost no concern. then you just worry about the landlord and anyone you might have over.
