what is the successor to the ss2?

what ever happened to sunsystems anyway?

im also finding it harder to find gh products.. is it true miracle grow bought them?

Idk if any og around remember pico thread on icmag ,comparing aircooled hoods?

tests found the super sun 2 was just murdering it... higher output and one of the most even outputs. I don't remember the runnerups in that ....

blockbuster? Idk ? Something from hydrofarm...

iremember being one of many tossing out cooltubes and generic sealed barn reflectors...

i think he did a adjustawing and it was the overal feflector winner... but its obviously not air cooled

idk if a spreader was tested .

people still use spreaders??

this post wasn't eloquent.

but question remains? What compact light reflector throws out the best footprint??4x4 or lower...??

Sun Systems are old school. There's newer and better tech now.

How compact does it need to be?

I have Blockbusters and an Irradiator and they work well, bugs me that the Irradiator isn't symmetrical though.

For best footprint, you want something like the Magnum XXL or Dominator XXL. For compact, something like the Yield Master.

To be brutally blunt, it's time to put the HID lamp in a museum.

LED lighting is here, it works better, it saves on energy both directly and in excess cooling costs and it's fast approaching cost parity.

In fact, in terms of cost over time, LED is already far cheaper.
