Such A Thing As TOO MUCH AIR FILTRATION?

hey everyone

i wanted to know if a growroom can have TOO MUCH air filtration. i'm talking about for instance... A room that is 840 CUBIC FT, that has an exhaust system which utilizes TWO 1.5ft x 4ft carbon filters rated for MAX 2500cfm EACH, and attached to EACH carbon filter is ONE 2156cfm centrifugal fan. That totals to 4312cfm for exhaust, meaning the growroom's atmosphere would be exchanged approx. 5 times in just one minute... how's that for an exhaust system? Considering it decreases the humidity level of the room, i can easily place a humidifier in the room to keep RH level in check. What's everyone's take on this?

well, with two fans of that magnitude, i'm assuming that stealth is an issue since you also are running 2 carbon filters? my only issue would be the level of noise that those two fans would make. of course, you could always get duct mufflers and insulate your duct work, which would help cut down the noise.

Remember that most carbon filter will reduce your air flow by about 20%, plus all the ducting that goes along with it.
I run a 465cfm fan in my 36cu ft space, and also cool my hood with a 420cfm fan. This keeps my cab at about 5 degrees above ambient temps with 600watts.
I don't think there is such a thing as too much filtration, but depending on how many watts you are using, you will probably not need that much filtration. You only need that much air flow to keep the temps down. If your temps are in check with the one fan, there is no need to add another.
