Sudden change in plant health during flower.

If run off is low should we just up the ph when watering or is there other issues?
Just by changing the pH of your water going in would only alleviate the problem temporarily like maybe a day and then it would go right back
There are more experienced growers on here than I and they discuss a balanced soil but I have never been able to totally do that and not have to pH my water.

I've just tested the run off and it's actually 6.5 which surprised me. I'm still preparing for a re pot though but unsure what the results might be. I'm loosing more sleep from plant worry than Covid stress!!

I didn't see anyone mention this but, if you are using "Big Bud" from Advanced Nutrients, you are only supposed to use that during weeks 2-4 of flower. I've never had issues feeding that at full dose, either. You need to feed a nutrient line that is meant for the flower stage.

I switched to big bud about 2 weeks ago but was only using half portions 2.5ml p/l. I also thought I was entering flushing territory this week or next so I didn't want to give it more feeds. Plant germinated 15th Jan so on week 11 now. As this is first grow for me don't quite know when harvest is but obviously cant start flushing if its dying due to lack of something, right?

Partner I apologize I didn’t realize it was an auto I should’ve read your very first sentence and paid attention more. Everything you see in your plant could be natural it could be ending its cycle. What does a breeder say about its lifecycle?

Autos are tuff to start with, because you never know what to expect and you don’t have a whole lot of time to fuck around with them. I grow autos too sometimes

The seeds web site says Auto AK has a 70 day average harvest which is why I was about to start flushing this week if I had not thought it had a nute problem. Do you think it's in it's last days?

If it's going it at 6.5 and coming out at 6 or lower then the soil has to be pretty low. If I was to guess I was say in the 5's.
Hey Renfro, soil pH is a challenging concept for me. How did you get the soil pH is in the 5's? Subtracting by 5 since water runoff is coming out at a 6? Thanks for your time brotha!

I wouldn’t even flush it doesn’t look like there’s nothing there to flush out just let the plant go you’ll be fine it should be good smoke

Forget the 70 day breeder stuff. That plant isn't close to being ready. And you still need nitrogen during flower. Big Bud has none at 0-1-3 NPK.

That plant is weeks away from being done.

Could you suggest what product I might use as I actually thought that big bud was it! Like an idiot.

You're not an idiot. With the plethora of bottles of stuff out there it's hard for many people to know what they need to use. You need something with NPK and calcium, magnesium, sulphur, and other micronutrients. None of which are being supplied by Big Bud except for some P&K.

For a one part dry nute that provides all that MaxiBloom would suffice. Or a three part nutrient like GH Floranova that has grow, micro, and bloom parts. Basically anything that has micronutrients and still provides some nitrogen during flower. I'm not in the UK so I don't know what is available.

It would be easier for you to post what you can get or maybe someone in the UK can chime in and assist because we have access to stuff in the US that you don't. Maybe House and Garden A & B, or Canna, Advanced Nutrients Sensi Bloom A & B. There are too many to name. But you need a complete nutrient.

Good luck.

This shop is literally down the road from me.
They were just too busy to give me info so just directed me to their web site. Unfortunately they are now closed due to that Kung Flu but will post. I don’t expect you to spend too much time on it but any direction would be bloody fab. Cheers.

They have everything you need at that shop. Botanicare Pure Blend Pro, House and Garden A & B, Sensi Bloom A & B. General Hydroponics FloraNova, etc... Just get the base nutrients of any of those or another and don't get talked into buying a bunch of additives. Any of those will work.

But don't expect miracles with that plant even if you start feeding it properly. But for your next grow you'll have what you need to feed the plant properly from seed to harvest.

Good luck.
