Hi all, been a long while since I've grown. Figured I show what I have going on! And see if I can get any answers. So I started some seeds about 3 weeks ago and I have 24 going. My tent is a 2'x3' with 300 cfm exhausting it. I have 2 of the spiderfarmer sf2000 in there. I've read that they draw 200 Watts a piece off the wall. The reason I have so many plants in this space is because I still need to sex them and junk the males. I do have a problem though of little brown spots occuring in some leaves and my bottom leaves are yellowing. My soil is ffof and ffhf at 50/50 ratio. I transplanted them into the cups about 2 weeks ago. Let me know what you all think!

The bottom leaves yellowing off and dying is normal. Looks like they might need a transplant pretty soon to a bigger pot. Nice job so far

Thank you for your quick response! Not the little round leaves, I'm talking about the first set of serated leaves that are yellowing. Any idea on the little brown spots I have going on? My temps are 80 in the day and about 68-70 at night. I'm getting a pH meter in and a thermometer/hygrometer soon. I'm going to use fabric Arora pots. I need to get a 3x3 tent so I can't utilize my light a little better. I'm at 66.66 Watts per square foot right now. I think I can go to a 3x3 and still have more than enough light coverage.

Do the cups have drainage holes? If not they might be staying wetter then ideal, which can easily lock out uptake.

Thank you for your response thundercat! I do have drainage holes in the cups. I'm watering about every other day. Seems excessive but I water and the next day the cups feel pretty damn light again so I just wait until the next day.

Think of how big they will be when they flower. If 50% males that’s still 12 plants. I think you need more room IMO

Thanks for your input wattzzup! My original idea has not panned out lol. I was going to build a greenhouse and they were all going outside but unfortunately I was laid off due to the coronapocalypse lol. So with a 3x3 in mind, I plan on keeping 9 females, the rest will go in my treeline lol. Do you think 9 will be too many in a 3x3?

I do one sometimes 2 in my 2.5x2.5 it gets crowded quick.

some people here will have some ideas on how to best use your space.

They are pheno, I have white rhino, sensi kush, Holland's hope, Durban Poison, cheese, and lemon haze. I don't remember the number of each one I have going right off the bat. The reason I want to do 9 is so I can fill my canopy faster and get flowering faster.

Yes those bottom leaves will die off as well just like the round leaves. Does seem like a slight lockout but it’s really not that bad, is it progressively getting worse? Your new growth looks good. You having to water more frequently is a sign that the roots are starting to fill up that cup

I’m not sure about your last statement OP

Think of it like this. Your canopy is your canopy. If I can fill my 2x2 with let’s say 4. It will be full and only so much of each plant will get light. Let’s add 5 more. Only so much canopy can get light. If you can stretch four to have the same canopy as 9 and use less soil and seeds I would take the less plants.

there are companies you can send a small sample to and they will tell you the sex of your plant super early so you don’t waste time/space. Just an idea I know it might be pricy

Phenos? Don’t people flip them and then reveg them? I thought I heard that the other day on here to sex the plants.

Grow so high, the yellowing doesn't seem to be getting worse but I have been noticing little brown spots on other leaves that I don't know what it would be. I will be getting more pots soon.

Wattzzup, I understand what you mean. So your saying maybe 4 in a 3x3 and put the rest outside?

The other thing I can't figure out is why the brown spots are showing up on some leaves? It's not on the bottom leaves that are yellowing, but other ones. Any idea?

I’m saying I do 2 autos in. 2x2. I have 0 experience with phenos but they get bigger if they are getting close to a pound.

here’s my suggestion. Research your light and what it covers sq ft wise. Then how big will your final plant be? Decide how many you can effectively put into your room and put the rest outside.

Also if you can sex them and keep the best looking females for your tent.

Most importantly wait for other opinions before doing anything don’t just take mine.

Wattzzup, thank you for your input. I am definitely keeping it in mind and I'll be open to other ideas too. I'll keep everyone up to date with what's going on in the tent!!

You can do more small plants with less veg time it works just fine if you aren’t worried about plant count. I ran a SOG garden for years with single cola plants in little 6 inch pots. I could fit about 45 of them into a 4x4. They went into flower at about 7-8 inches tall and finished about 24ish inches.

Hell you could transplant those all to 1gallon pots and flower them right now. Pull out the males and see how the females turn out.

Also it’s “photo” not Pheno.

A phenotype is the way a plant expresses its genetics depending on its environment.
