So hopefully someone else chimes in, but sunshine #4 is an inert medium, mostly comprised of coco and peat. This means you would need to feed in it pretty much right away because it contains no nutrients of its own. But I've never tried transplanting from soil to coco so I can't really say how well it will work. I've gone the other way, from coco to soil, so I feel like it should work, but I think I'd try to shake off as much of the MG as possible before transplanting (but not if it means damaging the roots).

Keep in mind, growing in an inert medium like sunshine #4 means monitoring your pH much closer than in soil. Your shooting for 5.5 to 6.3, though my best results in coco were between 5.8 and 6.0.

Did you get more perlite? Usually want to add more perlite to sunshine #4

If this is the seedling that just cracked it shell, tap water should do until next week. Get some decent nutes from the start and save the money.
no there bout 6 inches tall, and no I didn't get more perlite it already has perlite in it or does it need more? what nutrients are good to use that can get from home depot or Walmart or Canadian tire ?

I add about 30% more perlite myself, yeah 6” will need some food. That stuff you showed is pretty much all I seen around hardware stores in Canada. It will obviously work but I know nothing about it. Whatever the label says, cut it in half or more for sure. I would google the brand with cannabis and see what feedbacks out there. Not the end of the world on perlite.

Adding more perlite to sunshine helps put more oxygen at the roots, drains better, drys better, gives you better water cycles, flushes easier, harder to over water.. know what I mean..

Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss, Coarse Perlite, Dolomite Lime, Long-Lasting Wetting Agent, that's whats in sunshine #4 I thought it already had good oxygen, how much perlite should I put in a 13" pot?, and whats a good nutrient I could get from home depot or wallmart?

If I had a 5 gallon pail of sunshine, I would mix in a ice cream pail of perlite at least, hard to say, I eye ball. I shoot for about 40-50% perlite including what it has in it. The other stuff is for ph and peat moss naturally repels water (wetting agent). It’s up to you if you want to do any of this, I’m just telling you what I did before I went hydro.

Just grab the flora trio if nobody else chimes in. Grow/micro/bloom and some calimagic. Keep it simple and effective. There are extensive feed charts, you will be looking at the drain to waste charts. Don’t forget to get ph up and down if you don’t have already. That’s pretty much all you need to grow start to finish. Get one under your belt and improve from there. Don’t follow the directions on GH bottles, use a feed chart for cannabis.

Setup a empty pot with just sunshine in and one with added perlite, water them and watch, then monitor how they both dry by weight over the days. Perlite holds air as well as water too.

I’m not sure how to go about that, if the plant is healthy I would flush it and start light clean ph’ed nute water, flushing it will make a wet transplant. How big of a pot is in now and where’s it going. In gallons.. or litres.. it’s in dirt now? What kind of dirt, like miracle grow potting mix?
