Sooo, Went to a new hydro store and they didn't have my trusty bag of sunshine mix #4 in the black plastic 3.8cu ft.

They did have sunshine ADVANCE mix #4

which is a tiny bit different (contains coco-coir and mycorrhizae ) and new I see. While I'm not normally up for changing what I'm using I felt like giving it a try, I will have a generation in 1 and another in the other type so we can see. The interesting thing is I added mycorrhizae (GH powder stuff) to the first grow.

Not really a big change but yeah.

and yes, I do think the the ONLY big change is giving me 3.0 cu for 51$ ft instead of 3.8 for 45$

Isn't it compressed ?Doesn't 3 cuft make like 6 or 8 with that stuff? I know the bale is pretty heavy and is way heavier then the 3 cuft of the pro mix which is also compressed.

I have been running this for a year now. I go back and forth on what I think the best PH is for it. It is DEFINIATELy not 5.8, id say most def ive been seeing the most consistency and best growth around 6.3
