super bloom nutes?

Just wondering if any body has experience using Green Light brand nutrient: Super Bloom, It is 12-55-6 with 0.10% Chelated Iron. Also, does anybody know what the Iron does? Thanks for the responses.

Yeh I dont like the NPK of that, im guessing you dont have acess to a hydro shop like me, so I would just use the Miracle grow bloom, its a 10-30-10 I believe, seems to be bit more balanced. Also scotts makes a bloom that is close to mg's, and expert gardener. I would reccomend these. But I have never tried that one, so give it a go and tell us how you like it?

yeah, I'm planning on trying it at 1/8th strength

the npk concentration is very high but also to high in phos. you need to fins a better balance. IMO somethings better than nothing though

i use open seasme beastie blooms and cha ching each with 50 phosphorus (open sesame is 45and use at end of veg and beg of flower). why is his too high? i use at a 1/16th strength each and i dont have problems. telling him to use miriacle grow instead? bad advice IMO. MG=

...If the veins are green but the leaves are yeloow, this indicates an iron problem (Fe). Iron problems generally occur at new growth regions, which eventually turn necrotic and die. Add more iron to solve this problem. Although iron is not essential to plant growth you will certainly end with less than average results if it is lacking. Iron problems do not tend to cause leaf curl at the start but as the necrosis spreads leaves may curl...page 192 greg green cannabis grow bible

lol sketch you make me laugh man. Have you ever used mg nutes? doubt it. You just read alot of stuff about mg being bad, and thats because people used the old Miracle grow, which was pretty bad stuff. The New mg however isnt is alot better, and I have had great results with it. Look at grow journal for pictures of my white widow and purple widow, you see any problems there? I dont, and I have read that white widow can be a little bitch to grow. But it seemed to like the mg nutes.

If you havent used them, please dont bash them. I havent used super bloom which is why I havent said anything bad about them, and that I think the NPK look a little off balanced, but I told him to try them out and see.

Just curious, why do you think mg nutes are bad? The veg nutes NPK 24-8-16 which is exactly what scotts veg nutes are, and I believe green nobody said scotts is his favorite nutes, as well as many other growers. MG also contain micro nutrients, and guess what, the micro nutrients are exactly the same as scotts. So what do you think is so bad about them? Let me guess, read they burn peoples plants? maybe because those people started off with 100% strength or somethign stupid ? If you start with a very diluted mix, and work your way up, mg nutes are fine to use. not saying they are the best, but dont bash something you have never tried man. Alot of people on this website have had great results with mg, so obviously its not the nutes that are bad, its the grower.

my mothers outdoor last year she used MG nutes and everytime i smoke it, i got a headeache. my buddy who lives in McKinnlyville Humboldt says this is due to the levels of metals being too high in MG soil an nutes, and that is why i would get headaches. my best friend who i grew up with also had headaches, but my mom didnt. as maybe you dont. but that FACT is there are higher levels of metals in MG nutes then in some others. and if my buddy in humboldt makes a suggestion i listien. obviously i did catch you on a bad day because i wouldnt imagine you thinking i dont have grounds to base my opinions and advice on, thus reacting the way you did. i dont bother reading peoples MG grows, what plants look like and what they smoke like are completly different. MG is weak sauce my friend....one day you will all agree, dont go to the dark side, stay in the light. i dont know anything about scotts, dont use it, dont know anyone who does and would never bash something i know nothing about. that would be, narrow minded.

now my question was, why do you guys think the phosphorus is too high?

perhaps your mom, and your friends dont know how to flush the soil? Mg has same amount of metals as tons of other nutes. I think the weed was just grown bad. If I can get great results, and great smoke, then its good stuff, not sure yet ima harvest in a week or two, ill tell you then. maybe you are right, but I stop using nutes last 3 weeks of grow, and use molasses, and flush soil.

yeh I was in a bad mood eariler, just got a franactimy or whatever, they cut that thing above my teethe. god it hurts so bad, just makes me cranky.

Yeh I think thats a bit to high in phosphourus though, I prefer more of a
10-30-10 for flowering, or sometimes a 12-40-12. I would like to see how his plants do with the super bloom, I know they have it at lowes, so maybe Ill give it a test run when my new recruits get big enough to flower.

my mom has been growing for ummm she wont really tell me but in know my grandpa taught her. it was the first time she used MG on her pot, she always uses it for flowers and edibles and herbs. she thought, why not. flushing is common knowledge, levels of metals in your nutes and soil is not however, and like i said it did not give her a headace when smoked, only my friend and i. im sorry your in pain, i will smoke one for ya peace

widow will eat up all the P you can give it in low doses. she is a greedy bitch, i think that is why people have a problem with her. either not enough P or too much N and K to try and compensate. what do you think?
