Well we all know its summer time.

I have a young pup thats teething and fighting the heat. From experience I know dogs love ice cubes...so I gave her a couple. She loved it.

So I made some more...but this time...I mixed 1/1 water/chicken broth and froze them into ice cubes....She went CRAZY!!!

Give them a try...cheap easy and your dog will love you for it.

that dog is gunna get so big :)

my dog loves to go to the petco around here on saturdays and stare at the ferrits for hours on end. the petco they have here lets you bring your dog in and try out all these treats so you can find some your dog really likes.

my dog likes these little pretzel things i bought him that smell like graham crackers (maybe it is, i'm not tastin them)

Well her mom was 85lbs. and her dad was 80lbs. So yeah...I expect her to get huge....

I'd love to take her to petco for a sampling...but I know she'd raise all kinds of hell at her age.

This is her now...She turned 6 months old today.

I would have to have my dog in a cage on wheels If I took him into Petsmart or Petco.

He would still prob scare the crap out of some people.

He is real friendly if you are not scared of big dogs.
If you are and he senses it he gets fired up.
I think that he thinks you are going to hurt him or me if you are scared.

Most aggresive dogs will start to get excited around people who are scared of dogs.

Hahahaha
This is a cute thread....my doggies go berserk for ice cubes and frozen pig snouts....
I may try the chicken broth idea.....(low sodium broth is better for them)
I love to cavort and frolic with my pooches esp when stoned....transcendental!
I have very large dogs as they are my favorites....4 Saint Bernards (3 male one female)....one is only 8 months old and weighs 115lbs....he should be 200lbs plus at apx age 2....my biggest dog weighs 230 lbs
I also have two medium sized dogs.... a Basset hound and a 55 lb mutt....6 doggies total.....
Dogs are GREAT creatures!

I have been feeding my guys a BARF diet for the past few years and recommend it highly if you love your puppies!!!

I'd love to hang out and roughhouse with the St. Bernards! I pretty much love all breeds...sizes. I know you do too...or you wouldnt have 6.

If I had the room I'd have more. And yes...low sodium Broth...just like I eat.

yeah, he has all sorts of problems that always get me bummed out...like he'll jump off the couch every now and then and land wrong, hurting his leg (dachsaunds have short stubby legs) and he won't be able to walk for like 2 days. the vet says he's healthy other than that though but i just don't know how much longer i'm gunna have him with me :/

Enjoy his company while you can and keep him happy....When you cant keep him happy/painfree...its time to let him rest. And keep up with those vet appts. Older dogs really need them.....just like us.

yeah i take him every month for checkups because the vet i bring him to knows my pops and doesn't charge me unless oscar needs meds or anything like that. last time i brought him we found out he had ear infections in both ears. poor pooch.

Sadly, a few years back, I had a lab with chronic ear infections...yeast...ewwww.
I had to have him "put to sleep" he was suffering sooooo much....he was only 7 years old....soooo profoundly sad!!!!
This was the reason for me switching to the BARF diet....less chance for these type of infections to become chronic....

Here are two of my saints......the little guy at 5 months...and my big guy at about 1 1/2 yrs....
I could not stop myself.....and now I'm gonna smoke my first bowl of the day.....
