Heya! My plant just exploded with trichomes, over night.. I have no idea when to harvest, that's why i would like to know what you think? I have been flushing for 1 week now and I figure i would continue 1 more week, then maybe cut it down.. The strain is Auto ak47 "viking" the breeder says 80 days from seed, then harvest.

I'm on day 74~ give or take 5 days, some yellowing are going on with the fan leaves from the bottom up, but If you ask me it still has to go 2 more weeks? I don't know.. The smell is really skunky atm, No signs of bugs or mites. Here are some pics of it :) As for the white hairs I would say 45% of them are brown.

it has a while to go yet, caylaxs have not swallon, when they do them really long white hairs will be reduced to a quarter of the length they are now, and some will turn brown....if you dont wait for the swell, youll loose out big time both yield wise and high.....i dot know your set up but yea about 2 more weeks id say mate....

breeders times are a guideline and norm based on perfect grow conditions (which the home grower norm doesnt have)

don't get too hung up on what the breeder says about flowering time - yer weeks out! cut it now and you will be disappointed. I'd still be feeding that thing, not flushing it.

So I should feed it one more week or so? then continue flushing? Thank you.

if i was you i would resume feeding, at a lower amount then you were before, now that youve flushed her a big heavy feed will burn her, leave it a week then post picks again, and await further instruction man, thats what this sites for, it does look like it may be starting to ripen on the lower buds...

the "frost" you see now will be the "frost" you see when you crack a bud open!

keep posting n asking man....

EDIT: no worries man ive been so frustrated by grows in the past, when you get a problem you cant find an answer too and youve tried EVERYTHING all you can do is lobb it out the window! lol

can't add much to what lemon king said - except let the nail biting begin! its pretty common for plants to look ready a good week or two before they really are. I'd say closer to 3 weeks but repost in a week if you can. plant looks yummy by the way

I would agree with hoonry. Give it another 3 weeks before even looking at a day to harvest. As long as there are long pistils in abundance, then the next step is waiting for the bud underneath to swell. When the underlying bud swells like a berry......imo another 7-10 days until you most often see the pistil wither and or recede. I have my big LA Choc at day 63 12/12, only know am I seeing the top buds starting to swell out. ............All the action happens in the last 2-3 weeks .....to harvest too early comes a cost to extra yield and potency. .............All in all your plant looks very nice and healthy .........Good growin !

Thank you man, I've been takin' care of that girl like it was my daughter.. My new seeds arrived so next after this one will be El Niño, Chem dog and Crimera Blue.. I will use CFL for veg and thinking of HPS 400w for bloom, or I might just do CFL 250w.
