Supersoil... Roots Organic Alternatives Australia

Seen Super Soil round heaps always wanted to make a batch and can get the ammendments but in oz a soil similar to roots is only sold by one company there interstate and its around $40 for 50L for a grower at home
thats just way outta the question... Is there anything i could use to mix something up... or you seen anyone use like sphagnum moss? the potting soils in aust are POO man Mainly gypsum bark little sand etc etc... I have access and own
coco, perlite, moss... any help would be sweet... i suppose i'd throw the Mycorrhizae in too...

Roots is simply an amended coco medium with perlite. Im sure you could whip up something similar with products you have on hand or can purchase locally. you can always use a peat based soil and amend it same as the roots but a little extra amendments will be needed. I have seen sub write aboit this subject in several forums so a google search or looking around here might yield some more detail,best of luck with your garden

sorry to bump an old thread but if any people downunder can suggest some decent priced organic mix please post up
