svchop's closet rubbermaid grow

Dec. 25
Day Thirty Five, Merry Christmas everyone today is a great day I just realized that I now have alternating branches on the two new tops and the fresh leaves are beautiful and guess what there a little frosty, so I have some early THC production going very happy about that. I have decided to push the time change out a day or two I was supposed to go to 16/8 today but I'm just going to do it slow because of the current situation the plant is in so as of right now is at about 17/7. As of the issue I am trying to cure I watered with some wood ash mixed in a couple days ago in hopes of bringing up the pH. It seems like it did help but I almost suspect that its nute burn so next watering will be a flush with just plain filtered water. I did get some money for Christmas so I am defiantly picking up a couple more Y splits and a thermometer. I think my plant is a little on the small side so I am going to get those lights and run it in 16/8 for two weeks to see if I can get it to fatten up a little before I send it to flower, If it turns out a male I am letting it go through anyway this baby has some good genes and I would like to keep the pollen for later seed making.

Day Thirty Nine, Just got back from the last hunting trip of the season, and im just waiting until the light comes back on so I can get a good look at my plant and the seedling I started before I left none of the others have cracked so it makes mr question the viability of the seeds but I will know at 11 when the light comes on, it's 9 now this will start their first 16/8 light cycle. Alright its 11:53 now just got done looking over my baby and damn she is looking good, coloration is evening back out seems I went a shade heavy on the nutes awhile back and it started to burn got that undercontrol now. Just going to water with plain water the next couple times. Im going to pick up more light and a thermometer tomorrow so I can finally start monitoring my temps, more light is definatly needed as I am still only running 41w.

just a pic updated from this last week days 34 and 39, today being day 40

Day Forty Two, happy New Year everyone! Yesterday I was able to pick up 3 26w 6500k bulbs and two Y split sockets for $12.67 the bulbs were on sale for 1.99 they were 7.49 before so that was pretty fucking awesome saved about $17.50 , I also went to Kmart and got a weather channel digital thermometer and humidity meter that was 14$. With the new setup the temps run at about 82 degrees and 40% humidity with the exhaust fan on I would like to get the temps down but they are not looking stressed at all and growth is really taking off already. I have three tops now LST is doing its job for sure I would only have two at this point If it was just left alone. Something odd that I did notice is that the roots are growing really close to the top of the soil I keep seeing them when I water it seems strange for them to be this close to the surface less than a 1/4 of an inch in some spots.

I have been doing battle with a nute burn/nute deficiency/ ph problem, I dont know exactly what if not all of them it was but whatever the hell it was its fixed now thanks to the help of some of you here, basically as you can see in some of the pictures, the lady or dude whatever is not happy been light green most of its life but I transplanted it around day 28 I think, and things went south fast it got all blotchy and wilted and the lowest leaves bleached out and died, so I flushed thinking that the nute I've been using were a little heavy on the phosphorus which it is a bloom nute but it was all I had (I wont be using it again until its time) seeing as it could also be a pH issue and miracle grow organic potting mix apparently is a shade acidic I mixed in some wood ashes with the water, after this the blotchyness seemed to improve but after a few days the color was not coming back, so out of desperation I decided to use some ortho rose pride slow release pellets they have a 12-4-8 rating so it was everything I had not been giving the plant nitrogen. needless to say things turned around just take a look at these pics...

well today is day 54 its still alive but I am really struggling to keep it tied down away from the light so it doesn't get burnt the canopy nearly covers the entire top of the pot and its starting to grow more tops out of the sides so today I decide to tie the lid up and I'm just going to let it go vertical from now on the as for the new tops I think I might take one as a clone once it gets bigger but we will see when that time comes. I bought a clamp light, another Y splitter and a 15w 3000k 18'' tube for a fixture I found in my garage I haven't installed them in the box yet but I will before I switch to flower in 6 days.

well folks tomorrow I start flower 12/12 other than that shits going great its healthy as an ox stem is thick, It still smells like fresh cut lemons and its growing nine blade leaf sets, I'm going to make sure its a female and then take it back to veg and take some clones and see if I can get some more tops going its got 4 now potentially 7 if I work It the right way so some exciting shit going in there currently running 136w going to try to get some more 2700k in there soon I have an 18'' 3000k 15w tube to put in there as soon as i figure out a way to attach it.

How tall are they now? 8 weeks of veg?
um I'm not sure its kind of tied down but today is day 60 so 8.5 \weeks they should be taller I know but i started kinda rough and didn't really get things turned around until day 48 I think they would be close to 1 and 3/4 of a foot it should have a lot of budsites I have 3 branches bent horizontal and there are more growing out of those I have new pics just no way of uploading them from my phone unless I use my dads laptop because his is bluetooth enabled. I'll try to get a hold of it tonight so check back later and thanks for showing interest you've been the only one to post anything so far. I know all of this is lame but hopefully I get some more in here once the flowers start popping.

Sounds good, I'm curious about height.

How much room (height) do you have to work with in the rubbermaid?
lol thats the thing i dont have any I have my reflector and 104w of cfl hanging 3'' above the Rubbermaid now and a clamp light with 28w next to it im adding a 15w 3000k 18'' tube soon but my temps have been getting up to 85-87 and i dont like it that high but im working on a new batch of home brew so I might just run the co2 from that off into my grow. my container is about 7'' and I've got her tied down to about 5'' so total height is 1' the Rubbermaid is 15'' the bottom of the bulbs are even with the top of the Rubbermaid though so light is 3'' away im only running my one computer fan though

I have a 6 or 8inch intake fan that i took from a air hockey table lol its on there but the damn thing is so noisy I get complaints from the people that are across the hall it keeps the temps down to 78 with just it on here's one pic more coming in a couple minutes
