SWIM found this and he is not sure about it.

SWIM found in his yard some lovely poppies growing, he is sure they are papaverum poppies and he has scored some pods to try out the raw oozing latex. A couple of days later after he finished with the pods he broke them of the plant stem and got rid of them. A few days after he went to check on newly grown pods and saw that the stems where he riped those pods have been oozing and along the stem there was this black thick tacky substance.
He would like to know if this is also raw opium/latex ? given that is has dripped from a stem and not a pod.

Pretty much. I've chopped heads before and collected the gloop after it turned black. It's fairly weak in that form, would need to refine it for anything pokey.
Try it. Don't burn it, that will kill it. Vape or hot knife should work.

He was thinking about mixing it with some not so good weed and rolling it in a joint, he doesn't have much experience with opioids. Maybe he will hot knife it, and yes he sure is lucky

but back to your find, you should have saved the pods, they still have much goodness in them. Rolling o in a joint is the best way to waste it, smoking at all is a bit if a waste when you only have a small amount.

So besides smoking, what else can you recommend and what quantiy would be good enough ? SWIM doesent want to vape (chase the dragon) or hot knife it.

FYI It is not against the law to grow poppy , however it is against the law to bleed the pods , ive got 3 strains of johnson & johnson gigs myself & grow them in full view . just dont admit to knowing they contain opioids or be seen bleeding or collecting resin .

i really wouldnt do this if i were you. i dont even know what your opiate tolerance is but its not going to give you the feeling you are probably looking for.

Depending on the varibales the stem cuttings (after the pod is taken) can be the strongest part other then the latex.

Even a 1/4 handfull of 1"-2" cuttings that dont look like they have anything their, but the dry/ center rotted away ones. can be enouth for some one with a low tollerance. The ones with vissable O are greeeeeaaattt

Just dry then grind them up in a coffie grinder and make tea with it , or if their fresh and your impatent put them in a food prossecor

you're better off just getting prescription pain killers IMO if you like opiates. safer, cleaner, legal. dont recommend the ones with tylenol like vicodin unless you're doing a low dose and it works good enough for pain. when i was in high school opium was going around. im not sure how it was made but it was much different looking than what came out of the poppy. like someone else said, you need to refine it. personally i would rather pay a dr, drug co, and pharmacy money rather than rely on a backyard chemist. generics are cheap and essentially the same as original. they exist because drug companies are not allowed to sell copies of the drug until the patent expires. it's all about money but with obamacare you can get the shit for dirt cheap.

Yeah, so I did disolve it in my tea last night and no buzz, maybe just made the weed last a bit longer but nothing really exciting. Given that I think I'll just stick with pot for now, its a shame it takes so long to grow and theres no dealer around here

it didn't take that long to grow. In my opinion you are best off with this substance rather pills, you do not need to process it in any way, even to smoke it. (and even if you did, the process is cooking in water)

Im not going to do pills of any sort, i dont feel any attraction towards pills or any kind of dust , thats why I grow my own weed and given that some poppies grow naturally around where I live I score some raw latex from them.
I dont know if you ever smoked Pakistani hash (i think its mostly known as culero) but that shit is tight, can couch lock you laughing for hours, and this is mostly because it also contains opium not just trichomes of weed. I know this from someone that used to smuggle loads of culero across the border into spain, the man knows his stuff.
Anyway I was thinking that mixing weed with some raw latex would maybe give the same effect however it doesnt do that much, maybe I would have to score a lot more quantity.
