Switched from HPS to CFL's. Help.

As some of you know, I have been having major problems with high temperatures due to my 400w HPS. I mean I could deal with 85 but it sometimes spiked to 95 and that just won't do for now. So instead of ordering additional ventilation (which I will do when flowering time comes), I switched to CFL's and just spent the past 2 hours wiring and installing a new setup.

I have 1 CFL on each plant, 8 total. They are 23 watts each, Bright White and Daylight.

My question is, how close should the lights be to the plants? I currently have them about 1-2 inches from my 19 day old bagseed's and 2-3 off of my 9 day old blueberrys. Is this enough or should I do it closer?

I have the 2 bulb adapters for each socket and soon I will add another bulb to each plant, but for now how will this work? Thanks guys!

thats about the range i kept my cfls from the plant 1-4 inches away with proper cooling allowing the closest positioning.

lol, well the HPS is super red light and I wanted to use the bluer spectrum for veg, seeing as others who had plants under CFL's were doing way better than me in that regard. I should have just bought a MH and some more ventilation, but whatever. I did what I did, and can't go back now. lol

Next grow, expect to see a 400w MH though.
