Switching 1000 watt ballast from 240 to 120 volt?

I just bought a used sunlight supply 1000 watt switchable..But the wiring is set up for 240..The guy from the hydro store said the wires inside are marked and u can switch it to 120..Anyone have a scamatic or someone that knows and can explain it...i would wing it but im not gunna take the chance! :)) Any help would be appriated...+Reps! take it back and get them to wire it for you
like u say dont take any chances that ballast will give u a bigger buzz than ur smoke
if u do it wrong lol....

I just figured someone would have a scmatic to show how to do it...i kinda dont wanna drive 60 miles to get the wires switched! Idk why he wouldnt offer to do it, fuckin rich lazy prick! lokl

i dont have a schematic for you but if you have any electronics experience ts pretty easy. open the cover (violates your warranty), follow the leads from the power cord back to the transformer find the wires coming off that side of the transformer labeled 240v, they probably wont be attached to anything. you will need to attach those to the proper sides of the 240v power cord. remove the 120v power cord and cap the wires separately. be sure to use wire nuts rated for 240v

This but in reverse. this is going 120-240. OP has opposite problem.

lmao oops misread the op, my bad. yeah same process just do that to the 120v wires.

I have that ballast. On mine where the power cord plugs into the ballast is a little white tab covering the other outlet. All I had to do was spin the tab to expose the other receptacle. I hope this is the case for you because it is an easy solution and doesnt require voiding your warranty.
