T5 Grow..18 plants under 24 bulbs

  • Chopped this a few days ago. Stopped taking pics etc. It all turned out well though. We sent these very tiny plants right into flower to try out the effectiveness of T5's on a large 18 plant grow. The problem is coverage. The T5's just don't have it. 3 8 bulb BadBoys barely covers 16 small plants (2 were under LED) so we would need to run 12 plants under 4 badboys if the plants were of appropriate size.

    We might do it again or we might stick to HPS. All in all, the buds on our Bubba were smaller than with HPs and the buds from our God Bud were about the same size. I think the different strains like the HPS light better. Pre 98 Bubba being one of them.

    Each plant yields what I would assume will be just over 1.5z. 1296 watts total= 672 grams .51gpw but those numbers aren't official until we weigh but im eyeballing it.

This was experimental bro. Wanted to really see what T5's could do on a gpw basis and when using a mixed spectrum. I haven't gotten final weights yet but if its over .7 id be VERY happy and would consider running them again rather than the 4 600's in this room.

2 strains were ran here, one came out a bit on the airy side and one was super dense, so thats a bit confusing to me.

Looking very nice LV..........you're doing some amazing grows under T5's........your results are comparable to some of my cmh runs........great job

Hey Lucius, you thinking about doing a smoke comparison between the specialty bulb PAR produced buds and the agromax + flora suns?

i'm thinking about doing your setup and either doing two 4x4 or 1 4x8

be easy man

Already did. None of us could tell a difference.

Final weight was actually .41gpw. Not pleased however these were sent into flower when they're ere very very young. Should have vegged 3 more weeks.

I think .5gpw is definitely achievable with T5. That being said, it's a bad option for commercial growing where goals are 1.0 gpw
