I just bought a new light for my plants a hydro planet T5 HO 4ft 8 bulb grow light. I am used to my old 8 bulb t5 light which I could lower to around 6-10in above my plants with no problem. but with this new light, I was burning my plants at 12in forcing me to raise it to 16-18in also it produces some decent heat. my plants are 3 weeks old, haves 3 node growth working on the 4th some of the leaves have wrinkles, bubbles, curling up at edges. I have a fan on them and water every 3-4 days using a moisture meter to determine watering days.
here's my questions
how far above the plant does a T5 HO 4ft 8 bulb need to be for optimum effect?
should I turn half the lights off?
could it just be some strains cant handle the light compared to others?
