t5ho lighting costs

Can anyone tell me what a good price to pay for some t5 high output fixtures would be???

Everywhere I look, it seems the 48" 54 watt x 2 fixtures (108 watts total, 2x 4 foot bulbs) are like $90++ and the 2 bulb 28" & 36" that run at like 24w are $60ish... Am I just looking at the wrong places or do they not get any cheaper than this?

I was hoping to pay under $100 including shipping, and get a fixture with a pair of 5000 lumen bulbs (preferably rich in the 420-540nm spectrum) that I would replace with a warmer spectrum for flowering later on - but most of the stores that sell them online charge around $90++ and many don't ship to canada or have expensive shipping. I'm looking for as good a deal as I can find - anyone who's using a T5 setup please let me know how much you paid for it and where you got it.

thanks :bigjoint:

well with shipping it's under $35 so I guess I should order it... I'm just a little surprised I couldn't find it anywhere near that cheap anywhere else - even though bulbs aren't included, $10 just seems a bit unbelievable.

Is there something different about all the T5HO setups being sold for $90-$400 elsewhere, besides the bulbs being included?

Tek Light T5 Fluorescent Aquarium Light 2ft 4 bulb 96W - $350
this looks like the SAME fixture to me, but with some cheap bulbs included... if the fixture was only worth $10-$15, wouldn't it be like $50-$80 TOPS including bulbs, not $350? wtf is the deal with all these super expensive T5 fixtures?

...for a comparison, have a look at these prices:

Is there something wrong here? Either the expensive ones are a major rip off or the cheap ones are listed at a fake price, at least one has to be some sort of a scam. This horticulturalsource website seems really sketchy... the prices just seem too good to be true at 70-95% cheaper than other retailers. I'm super tempted to place an order but no amazing pricing is worth it if it's money down the drain and no product is shipped

That's just for the SHIELD (COVER)...
Actually it says ballast included, along with a few other things... I'm aware the bulbs aren't included but 4 bulbs isn't going to run up the price several hundred dollars, they're fairly cheap.
