Taking DWC SOG SCROG to a whole new level

Well that changes things. Here a plant is a plant as long as it is in a grow media. The left plant is under 5"
Sorry, 7", removed picture.
That's pretty cool brother. I gotta try that ! After you harvest those can you take a pic of the rootball. I'm curious what it looks like.

That sounds like a botanical science project waiting to happen ! I have no idea.
I know it causes the monstercropping but whether it shortens the time that the plant flips into flower I don't know. I will have to try it next time. Wait a second, I do have one in flower already and I have not flipped it yet.

Not a great picture, the lights are off and I just used the camera flash to focus itself, did not allow me to compose much.

This is a Illinois Medical Marijuana Grow limited to 5 plants

The first goal is to run a high performance DWC SOG SCROG and produce 12-16 ounces every 4 weeks on a consistent basis all within the legal parameters of Illinois medical marijuana laws. Some say it can't be done...

To add to the excitement of it all the grow is going to take place in a basement apartment in a two story house. My second and most important goal is to operate 100% undetected.
Im in a not so friendly state next door with the same goals.... good luck

I was hoping to see a new invention: SOG combined with SCROG.
Turns out someone couldn't find his acronyms book anymore.
Does 5 Plant DWC Hypercropping PERPETUAL HARVEST fit in your lingo? My guess is the answer is no. But i understand...

Question : Can you determine the mathematical equation to apply for a perpetual harvest of 1 monster plant per month yielding 12-16 ounces ?

Just curious...

I don't understand anything of your system.
I have no clue how many plants you have in total first of all.
But I will try to answer you. 1 plant can harvest 400 to 500 grams. That's no big deal.
Will depend on the amount of light, space and the strain. If you will find a strain that can do it in 8 weeks flowering, I don't know.

Illinois med MJ laws says I can have 5 plants. A plant becomes by law "a plant" after it reaches 5" tall. I believe they included the definition of a plant being 5" or taller so that people can produce clones for a perpetual harvest - but thats just my opinion.

For me to harvest a plant every 4 weeks will require a operational process with time limitations. ie. Start new plants into there 4 weeks of veg in cycle meaning every 4 weeks a new veg stage plant will be started.

Doing the flowering stage with 2 plants on that same 4 week rotation is what will allow me to :
(1) Veg a plant four weeks
(2) Harvest one plant every 4 weeks

2 plants will ALWAYS be in Veg
2 plants will ALWAYS be in flower

1 Mother will be kept to supply the demand of the Perpetual harvest.

PS : Im glad someone here realizes 1 plant can produce 400-500 grams. I was starting to get worried !

It is the time period that is tight. Need to get as much veg growth as possible. Now, rules are rules, 5" high or the length of the stem? You can have a number of plants in veg that can get pretty mature if you keep topping them. This one was not topped but shows the idea. Had some stress but recovered. There is no reason you could not keep some plants in veg for months with them growing more stocky and with a good set of roots. Might even just go right to flower or cut back in veg time enough to finish. But then again, if you miss your window by a bit is that a big hardship?

what is your posession limit in IL? what you planning on doing with 12 lbs a year?
We don't have a possession limit for our home grow medical. They really didn't put too much thought into the laws around medical grows. The five plant limit is ridiculously low in my opinion. Thats why I did this-20201021_074307.jpg
And I have done this-20200723_092311.jpg20200726_134129.jpg20200725_230415.jpg
I'm still smoking the last crop and will not run out before the hoop house known as, "Parts Unknown" is cut, dried and cured.
So while running a perpetual harvest plan sounds fun, it isn't necessarily needed. Especially when you pull over five pounds in a four month run.
Regardless, I hope it all goes great for you @RTZ420 . And I would like to invite you to hang with us other Illinoisians in the, "Anyone wanna show off their Illinois grow" thread in the medical patients section.
Good luck friend!

Five inches above the soil. I have fimmed bent and trained them to grow sideways for a while to keep things legal. Then reversed their training and/ or also up potted them with the root ball placed in sideways. Both methods worked out great!

On the main page for Rollitup, scroll down to the medical section, click on medical Marijuana patients section. Scroll down and click on Illinois patients. Then click on Anyone wanna show off their Illinois grow.
Or I guess click this link https://www.rollitup.org/t/anyone-wanna-show-off-their-illinois-grow.1007007/ lol! Welcome aboard!

As to the cooltubes, they don't get very hot. I have had them up against my back more times than I can count. They are really warm and can get a bit uncomfortable but not hot enough to burn. Thats why I use them in there.. i would rather go bare bulb. But then I wouldn't be able to get the buds or me as close to the lights. As it is i get them as close as i can without them getting burnt or bleached.
I am expanding the walls before the next indoor grow. I just need a little more room to work in there without having to brush into the plants (gosh ya get sticky!) and lights. Although that space may get eaten up too.
