TaoTronics 240W (80x3w), will it do it????? +Rep

What's up guys, I have about a 3'x4' closet that I am just starting a Chem 91 SKVA under a 125w cfl, they're slow veggers.... I grew a lemon kush from female seeds with a 90w UFO from taotronics but had to use a ton of CFL supplemental lights which are hotter than the LED's, I was pretty disappointed with the density and the light was fairly close to the plant . So what I am asking, for flowering out a single plant will this....

... be enough to flower one good plant with, without having to supplement CFLs everywhere and lose out on density by keeping the lights the correct disance away?

Thanks very much, any other suggestions in that price range are appreciated as well. Thanks, let me know what you guys think. +Rep for any help!

For one plant it may be but not recommended. I have 2 TaoT 240W and they are awesome for veg but need mucho supplemental help during flowering, even something simple like adding a 2' 4bulb T5 w/ 3000k bulbs would be enough addition to boost it up in flower.

Get Hans panel (bonsaihero.com). Top notch light. Cree and osram leds and remote driver. Has fan or passive cooling. Close to same price

So what do you guys recommend me doing? I'm just starting the chem under the 125w cfl. I would like to spend 200-300 MAX, on a LED system that will help with flowering and density. Is the 240w blackstar any good or what? Can you send me some links to some good ones? I would like a single led solution since I am in a closet that is not exhausted at all.

So you think for just growing ONE plant in my closet, the 240w Tao and a 4' T5 fixture would be sufficient for just a single plant?

the blackstar would be better than the taotronic thing for sure. Blackstars aren't bad LED's altho many on these forums trash talk them. I have had a lot of success with my blackstars my current grow im using 3 blackstars and not having problems at all.

Please do post them up.
3 out of 5 blackstar 500 failed in my personal experience.

here's some pics of what I have left in flower (2 strawberry kush plants 1 island sweet skunk 1 querkle), all about 1 month into flower buds are growing rapidly and putting on weight. Next run I have more strawberry kush, 2 pfunk clones and 1 skywalker OG kush plant. (next run I will be doing 1 plant in dro)

what that ion8 set you back? I had a look at that and thought "wtf?" when I saw the price.
Lot of wattage there really. Considering the blackstar 500s (glad you got working ones, wouldn't count on it forever) running at over 300 watts.
That's how I'd roll but that ion8 in the middle would be .......would be......yes I said it ....HPS on a rail!
Actually I can't tell what those other two panels are. I'm sure they advance with the tech but back in the blackstar 500 days their design failed a lot in my experience.

I have the 426w ion 8 not the 1500+ watt one I wish I had that! mine was like 610$ but I used a discount and got for around 575+shipping , the other two panels are both 240w blackstar 2014 v2.0 lights and they are really powerful. To the point where if you look at it , it can make you dizzy, cause temp blindness and really give a bad headache, I use glasses now but earlier it was a serious problem in that tent cause of intensity for my eyes I would get dizzy trying to water the plants and have to leave the room now with my UV glasses its np.

There's a version 2 of the blackstar 240w using Cree XLAMPS, it looks much higher quality. Let me know what y'all think about that one. I'm only going to be growing either a single MK ULTRA or a single Chem 91 sk va (by far the slowest vegging plant I've ever seen), so I might just do an mk and save the Chem and my other OGs for my 600w hps room. Will probably add some leds to that room as well. But let me know what you think about the new blackstar v2, they have them on amazon and the lighthouse website. Thanks guys!!

I have 2 of them and I am happy with them. Low heat lots of light, not the biggest footprint...but for the price it's a great lamp!

They have them for $285 on amazon prime right now. And it does well flowering? Will I still need supplements? Everything is covered in mylar too. I just want to keep it at 1 light, 1 plant if I can for my closet.

for 1 plant that will be way more than enough unless you're trying to a monster, I flowered two plants in 3 gal fabric pots under 1 of those lights. I would say core coverage of 2x2.
