I just moved to a new place and found the latest test results for the tap water in my area...to me it looks like, I have absolutely no reason to consider firing up my RO unit...do you see any reason for me to use RO over this tap water???

The sodium is interesting, whats your tap waters PPM? That will tell you if you need to RO or not. oh , just saw your post, 495 PPM... yup gonna need to RO still. Ouch, where's that 495ppm coming from?

Well I hope there is a confusion about mS/m...so it is not 500, I cannot believe it to be 500

Edit...it is 500ppm I found it hidden in the companies instructions to test takers...1mS/m=10ųS/cm...I thought it could not be so, they say the max value is 250mS/m

Well, I didn't really need this tool (maybe I did) but I do like an accurate reading when testing my tap water, and I should be testing runoff at least once or twice a grow (it's a big no no for organics but it can help if you know what your looking for) and if your using RO water, testing the filtered water will help decide when to replace the membrane of the filter. I caved and ordered this bad boy here.

lol.. yes better to go by EC sometimes just for that confusion. I think Blue Labs measures in 500. The combo kit might do the conversion for you. Would like to hear what you think of it when you get it. Keep us posted please.

Blue Lab = 500 scale

Milwaukee = 500 scale

Hanna = 700 scale

Oakton = 700 scale
