Temps and humidity under LED

What do you run temp and humidity wise under your LED? Would love to hear from HLG people as I’ve used HLG 65w qbs in the past and now have the 300 B Spec and 300 R Spec

Also what ppfd are you running during all the different stages?

Around 28C/82F is good. Humidity depends on growth stage and temperature. I suggest you search VPD.

I run two 650 rspec lights, I use living soil and run room temps between 74 and 76 degree-Fahrenheit, humidity between 64% and 66% , keeping leaf temp around 73 to 74 degrees running the lights around 28 to 36 inches from canopy that’s depending on what I’m running the light at 40% for seedlings around 30 inches away 70% for veg around 28 to 30 inchs away and usually end up about 36 inches away during flower running the lights at 100%

If you keep the drivers attached to the light they will raise the temp significantly in your tent I suggest detaching the driver and hooking it up outside the tent you just have to get a longer connecting cord for the power supply

Thank you for those specific details, any pics of your plants?

I actually have a heater in the room which my tent is inside of, maybe I should turn that down or off? 76 F is def a little lower than I’ve been running

I run light 16” above canopy and at 28C. But mind you my light is completely spread out on canopy. Rh I run 55 veg if I can get it high enough, first 4-5 weeks of flower at 50, then 40 or less after that

I am running Cobs in my 3x3.
I seen my biggest gains when I wrapped my head around air temp vs leaf temp. As when I first switched I kept running at 77F and seen slower growth. When I jumped to 82F I seen a increase in growth rates.

then I added a humidifier to the mix. (Chasing the VPD thing). I always had low RH. Like 20-30%. Now I’m in the 55-60% range. Even though I’m still a little low in RH according to VPD charts. My plants are the fastest and best looking that have grown.

as far as PPFD. I have way too much light in my 3x3. Vero29s and Citizen 12-12 totaling 905watts. So I use a light meter app and use the dimmers to set between 800-1000 PPFD and plants do great.

That’s where I’m at after about 4 years with cobs. Pretty happy with everything. Now I have added a UVB light and slowly working it in to the mix.

Explain these charts I just saw then and why the humidity in flower is so damn high. Cuz I thought what you had said to be correct till I a saw this.

I was turned on to this chart by a fellow grower. I had a hard time with the conversion from HPS to LED since my room is a "hidden" part of the basement and outside the footprint of my house. Got a heater, humidifier, and dehumidifier to keep my room dialed in during the cold months, and once I did, plants couldn't be happier. I grew indoors for a long time under HPS and stopped due to having to travel for work, and grew strictly outdoors for the last 10-12 years. Made the conversion to LED, and had a hard time at 1st. Thanks to the easy to read chart, and getting my room dialed in, plants are quite happy now.

Maybe this is why when I put my veg plants under led in 2x4 they start dying. The vpd is like a third of what it should be…I thought it was the light smh

If you look at the top of all the charts, they are basing it off of leaf temp. I was only sent the one chart, another member showed me that there were more, and the VPD "zone" changes based off leaf temp.
My room was all kinds of whacked until I got it dialed in, then plants went nuts.

Awesome trying to get my shit there now
I hear ya, since my room is in the basement, and "hidden" (actually sits outside the house) I had a hell of a time, especially switching to LED. I had to get the room "dialed in" and once I did, my plants took off after stalling for about a week. Everything is in the "zone" now, and I'm going to have some beasts to set outside this year.

My room is built In a old root cellar. I hear you on facing climate problems.lol! I had to install a heating cooling system to maintain and keep a positive air flow to prevent any mildew or mold issues. But after taking the time and money to do so it’s actually turned out really well.
