Hey everyone my friend has a 2x4x5 tent with a 600 dimmable hps set to 400w with cheap extraction fan (100cfm) and is finding it way too hot usually around 31 degrees at top of canopy when lights are on and up to 34 degrees around other parts of the tent at any time. The plants are looking ok a little cupping, they are quite short and about 14 inches away from bulb. They have only 2 weeks of flower left so he doesn’t want to effect yield/taste/potency but having it too hot, he got up to this point mostly with a mars hydro 720 then switched to the hps. A very strong fan is blowing through the plants from one corner of the tent. Temps settle to about 26 degrees when turned down to 250. Would you advise to turn it down to 250 or keep at 400? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Get a better exhaust fan and if you can then cool the space the intake is coming from if the fan can't keep up. I'd do what ever I could to not have to go below 400.

Make sure the thermometer isn't in direct light or it won't read correctly.
