Tent cam?

anyone run a tent camera so they can check in on their girls from the phone while not at home? If so what works best for you? I'm gone for extended periods at times due to work so it'd be nice to be able to keep an eye on them

Would be awesome even just for journal purposes if you can record on said camera

Get a cheap af android phone, connect it to your WiFi and attach it in your tent. Then get a baby monitor app on both phones and connect them. Most monitor apps let you record/store images so you could do a snapshot a day as your time lapse or whatever. Just a thought.
Hmmm... i have an old phone in the trunk of my car! Maybe I will give it a go!

Wyze cams are cheap and work well. Only complaint is the timelapse is limited to 30 days.

Edit to add, you can disable the status lights on the wyze cam so you don't have to cover it with tape.

That is super annoying. I just finished a two week timelapse.. I flashed my Wyze cam to their optional RTSP firmware and it's being streamed to a Raspberry Pi running home assistant. That is what handles my timelapse so I can set it for whatever I want duration wise.... on the plus side it also adds in remote monitoring from the same screen as my sensor readouts and light/drip controls.
