Tent heat

My tent is in my apartment, I live on the second floor so it gets hot in there. I got an airconditioner but its still hot, 80 degrees last few days.

Im new to growing its the 33rd day of the 5th week of flowering. The grows not going the best i had 3 plants in my ac infinity 3x3 tent and 2 turned hermaphrodites so had to chuck them. Last plant left n it grew to tall i didn't know to top it so i had to bend it n tie it down under the light. The plant started from a bag seed then i got the tent after waiting about a month of starting the plant under a weak grow light till i got the ac infinity tent kit.


So now that you got an idea of what im dealing with, im wondering if i have the sensor in a wrong or bad spot? I seen some place that if the probe has light shining on it it will read wrong...this true?

Any pics? One thing you can do next time is run the lights at night.

I was very concerned about heat last grow but have been hearing from everyone lately that low 80's are okay throughout most of the grow of you keep your rh in the low 60's. Mid to late flower they'll drop the temp and rh. If you've got the money you could get a portable ac and vent the cold air directly into the tent. I wouldn't blow it directly on the plants but if it came from the top down it would pass the lights and warm up a bit. I thought about doing this but ultimately didn't bc I had no way to control the temp without a controller. Being that the ac unit itself isn't inside the tent so it won't shut itself off. It's just an untried idea, I would def ask around more if you were thinking about trying though. I did, everyone told me it would be fine. Good luck and congrats on getting that plant through this far.

Put your temperature meter level with your canopy top and get a humidity meter low 80s for lights on try to get in down to about 70 for lights out the humidity what you need to control more keep it 45 50% intake fan on bottom of tent with exhaust on top heat won't be a problem with led happy growing

My room got up to 85 the last few days. I had a shade tree next to my house that was damaged in a storm last week, and it was close to falling on my neighbor's house, so I cut it down...but now it gets so hot my little energy saver window AC can't keep up with the heat. Anyway, it was 87 or so in my tent and the plants were fine-the RH was 55% and I saw zero stress on the leaves at all. No worries, it sucks to be hot but your plants really don't mind.

outside temp is 100 to 110. house at 70. with an AC vented to the outside, a cool air intake and a hot air outtake i can get the tent to like 84 to 86. leaf temps at canopy are like 78. no problem, no stretch in veg at all. cool air should be put into the bottom and hot air should be taken out. when i ran an AC directly into the tent, not in the closet next to it like now, the root temps would be super cold and the plants loved. even now, the coldest air is sent to the bottom of the temp to keep the roots colder....also the plants are a bit colder than the air temp. best is to avoid the hot parts of the day with a timer and flower at night. i run the fans and ac for 15 minutes before lights turn on and 15 min after off. that made a big difference. also, max temp isn't really that big a deal if its not like 110....it matters also how long it was at that temp. so a tent that is only too hot just before lights out doesn't seem to be a poblem for me. i have completed grows at over 90...one of my best yields, some buds were super fluffy.
