*test grow* Bodhi Seeds test grow: Purple Urkel x Yo Mama and Dank Zappa

This is the first test log I am doing at this site, as the old site I did my logs at has now left the interwebs. I will also be documenting this at breedbay, but I figured that since these are some entirely new genetics to the community I would share them here as well. The two strains are Purple Urkel x Yo Mama, Yo Mama being Bodhi's stellar cross of Afghooey and his Appalachia male; and Dank Zappa, a cross between the oldschool UW Hashplant and the Deadly G, Bodhi's line working of ndnguy's '88 g13/hashplant. I dropped one PU x YM on the floor and couldn't find it, sad day, but I'm 8/10 on the rest of them and 9/11 on the Dank Zappa. They went into water on New Year's Eve, and were transplanted into coco the next day when most had cracked. I will be saving the four that have not sprouted for another few days to see if they are just tardy to the party. They were started in new botanicare ready-gro, and will spend their lives in aerated coco. I will be feeding with GH Flora Nova Grow and Hygrozyme in veg, and using t5s. If anybody wants to post in here, they can, but I don't take too kindly to trolling. Anyhows, without further ado:

Nice!!

Love me some bodhi. Got his snow queen waiting in the stables. One of those breeders where you want to try everything they have.

Tsd perhaps? Had some awesome test grows over there.

I'm looking forward to watching this! I worked on a farm in Trinity County a few years back that grew Yo Mama. It was the bees knees

Did I see you on breedbay? Bodhi will be back around there once he gets back from his seed collection trip.

Update: Going along slowly but surely. None of these plants are vegging quickly, which is not surprising given the indica dominance and presence of the notoriously slow urkel in the PU x YM's. Probably going to be a while in veg, but probably not that long in flowering. The last five plants in the back left are SSDD clones.

Dank Zappa's in the first row and first two in the middle, then the PU x YM.

So, I'm hoping to put up a more in depth report by the end of the weekend, but I just started a new job and have been quite busy. Nonetheless, I now have a full tray of testers in 12/12, we are currently at 5 female purple urkel x yo mama's, and 3 female Dank Zappa. The danks are the three in the lower right, and the rest are the PU x YM. For a 'wildcard' I am actually only finding two structural phenotypes in the PU x YM, and they are both fairly similar. You will notice that the 3 plants in the back right are similar, with the tallest one being the PU x YM #1 that was one of the first three that I put into flowering. The second structural type is two in the middle left, which are a more stout and bushy 'menorah' type structure as opposed to the more 'christmas tree' structure of the first type. The Dank Zappas are super uniform, to the point that any phenotype variation at this point will have to show itself during the bloom phase. I've noticed that some are heavier feeders, showing a little N deficiency while the rest are being more or less pushed to their limit, and some are slightly shorter and slower than the rest. Otherwise, they could almost be clones.

Dank Zappa #2 (one week after flip)

Purple Urkel x Yo Mama #6

And here is the Purple Urkel x Yo Mama #1, that was flipped at the time of my last picture post. I absolutely love the look of this lady..

Thats all for now, folks. Stay tuned, because I think this is going to start getting very interesting soon.

And I forgot to post this here, but here was the update with the first three females I put into flowering.
OK, so here's a quick update. I have had four girls announce themselves so far, one Dank Zappa and three Purple Urkel x Yo Mama. They have been moved to the 3 gal. fabric pots where they will live out the rest of their lives. Pics were taken before clones were taken. The Dank Zappa and two taller PU x YM have been moved into 12/12 tonight.
Dank Zappa #7

Purple Urkel x Yo Mama #1

Purple Urkel x Yo Mama #4

Purple Urkel x Yo Mama #5

The PUxYM #1 has the most pronounced smell so far, a rather grapey fruity musk.

The Purple Urkel x Yo Mama's are definitely the speedier of these two crosses. bud production and frost has already begun.
