I hope you don't get toasty buds again this summer.. On a side note. Mo had some sativas dried in the sun. Brown weed. It was pretty good though. Tasty too.
Thanks for the reminder friend:P................yeah no more sealed summer runs with candles, lol , that only works with a SINGLE 65w hans panel......will see how this pans out, I do have a better window ac unit this year right next to the "grow closet". Still gonna be hitting close to 100f in july, the cfm's are cut down from my noise restrictions to the blower...

Alright time for an update as we are getting lightning storms outside, day over...........will check for ticks later:)

DAY 24 of 12/12 from seed under 118watts innoled beta fixture... Peak seeds 8 northernberry children:

001.JPG 002.JPG 003.JPG Growth is looking solid, I'm not complaining ATM except for the constant rotating to get light to each sides of the kiddies. PITA, but I always try to give the plants the best shot at yielding well under whatever conditions I have. Plain water seems to be the ticket so far.

004.JPG Biggest kid turned male on me, bummer really liked him== culled him after this pic.....rest of the 3 large one's seem fem, I'll know for sure In a day or two. The 4 little ones still can't confirm.

005.JPG 006.JPG 007.JPG 008.JPG The new beta panel runs 118w at the plug, switched out lenses with the old one for a larger beam angle, Innoled agreed that the new one's was too tight. Didn't check the old fixture's wattage consumption as it's packed up ready to ship, still waiting for the return shipping label from the company..............that's it, anything I missed just ask.

be safe and happy growing RIU

Came across my desk today

Samsung Nano LED

We will close with a much more forward technology look but one that is potentially very exciting. Samsung had an animated presentation of an architecture called Nano LED. Presumably, the technology will yield a monolithic LED chip that can output red, green, and blue light simultaneously. The result is a mix that appears white with no phosphor required.

The Nano LED will use a traditional substrate. But during the epitaxial stage of manufacturing, nano techniques will be applied to different areas of the LED chip to allow the growth of the distinct color areas. Many questions remain to be answered for sure. But an architecture that delivers white light with no phosphor could lead to lower-cost LEDs and probably new applications in tunable SSL.

Thanks for the info Petflora. It's funny that Samsung is still trying to come out with a "white" LED by mixing Red, Green, and Blue to achieved the "white" light spectrum while we already have that spectrum dialed in. What about all the other colors in between that the plants need? I think this is their new disco light with the green added to the equation. You don't need to smoke to get high, all you need is to just look at their lights. Cost is always a factor, but are you willing to sacrifice cost for quality??

Okay my fellow led growers, it is HOT outside today soooooooooo I decided to take an early one at work. Plus watch the US match later:)

Update time

DAY 31 of 12/12 from seed under the 118w Innoled fixture with my 6 peakseed's northernberry children:

001.JPG 002.JPG 003.JPG This strain is showing some serious hybrid vigor(heterosis), and moving the light up daily. Lost another big one to balls, cut down and sealed into the white kitchen bag^^ in the corner; will throw the males into the soil mix when this is over. 4 large fems are cruising along and 2 small/spindly ones got completely blocked out by their pot partners and will yield in the single digits if they go girly:P That's the price you pay when crowding small containers.

May let them go natural as God intended, next couple of days will determine if I train or not.

005.JPG .............everything looks healthy so far with just de-chlorinated&aerated water. I've learned my lesson from Blue berry in the past that you do NOT feed until they fade IMO. So I'll keep watch until a def appears.

004.JPG 007.JPG 006.JPG fucking power went out again and the meter went all "european" on me....lol.....anyways I'll get to changing it back to F sometime in the future. Still pissed that this unit has no battery backup!! unbelievable:wall:

Dude, even tho ur american dont mean u have to support them. Fuck USA. Lets go mexico!!!
I am a citizen, not born here though ;-)......I'm rooting for Italy as always, but would like to see the U.S. do well. Their group is brutal though.....

Off to the bar I go......and Mexico is poisoning us with their basically non regulated food crops everyday....so no support from me.

Quick update:

DAY 36 of 12/12 from seed under 118w Innoled fixture: With my peakseeds Northernberry bitches

001.JPG 002.JPG Just out of fucking control, IDK if supercropping will slow down these girls. Thought running 12/12 from seed and 2 gallon pots would save me; I guess not. I know these two strains(NL & BB) have been bred to death and are considered boring now, but this mix seems stable and still commercially interesting IMO(I see maybe 2 phenos). Absolutely no odor yet......always loved that about NL.

003.JPG005.JPG 004.JPG quick pot rotation before work and burnt some leaves on the light/heatsink. My fault ladies:)

006.JPG 007.JPG .......Almost outgrown the room in 36 days of 12/12 from seed in tiny pots......yikes!......hope this fixture can keep up with them with NO training.........yet. If they continue these stretch rates, I will have no choice but to snap the main stems next week.

Looking good. You said you have noise restriction that leads to dialing down your fans. What are you using for noise dampening in the exhaust?

Couple things I do and have done. First suspend all centrifugal fans from bungee cords. Also the metal hook on each end I put some air line one to give another damper. Use insulated ducting entirely . From scrubber to fan and from fan out of the room. Inner portion is ziptied then taped into place then the outer insulation taped to the outter using foil tape. Then if needed a muffler. I've made inline mufflers for velocity noise, and isolation muffler boxes for the fan themselves. Which is just a larger box made with flame retardant materials that is double layered with a layer of insulration and spray foam to deaden the sound. Had a 12" running at a buddies house in a walk in closet we messed with enough that it was essentially silent without hampering airflow.

Itz only boring if this is your 156th run with a certain strain in my opinion....155 you are still good... :D

Surely they have finished their stretch by now.....? no?

Looking good PSUAGRO! They've gotten so big so fast. You guys are definitely good at what you do.
A weed isn't hard to grow.............granted it's a great annual though:)

I muffled the exhaust noise by reducing the port-hole in the wall by half=== it's shared by my neighbors apartment..........this doesn't work with some inlines I imagine?

Alright time for an update after that Brazil game...........holy moly! almost spit my beer out at that chance at the end of regulation...lol

DAY 43 of 12/12 from seed under Innoled 118watts fixture with my 4 misbehaved northernberry girls:

001.JPG 002.JPG 003.JPG 006.JPG 005.JPG ......Well they officially outgrew this fixture a couple of days ago. Their is no 118w single point light source gonna cover these bitches properly, they stretched 3x their height in 2 weeks!! You can tell by the wall fan how far up they are now and it's not a comfortable situation for me. I killed off the two weakest girls as they where around a foot below the rest and got completely blocked out, so now 4 females remain in three pots. Major grower error here not knowing this strain, but that's what happens when you grow with constantly changing variables.

I said I was going to snap their stems at half way, It's just not gonna work overlapping them in the center with my current RH conditions( low 60%) and could easily lead to PM, which I've had before in this room! Also I'll lose my rotating option obviously; still burning leaves on the light BTW. Plants are self-defoliating at a rapid pace telling me this fixture is out of range for the bottoms.........bummer.

Still no fade or defs with plain aerated water..............That's one positive note on the soil mix.

007.JPG 008.JPG Look at the home depot spray bottle to see what these girls did to me.......bitches making my life hard! Anyways I'm tired and will let them just go naturally with the rotations to help the test panel out, the fixture will have to deal with it.

I'm gonna finish this grow no matter the outcome as always.

be safe and happy growing RIU
