Agreed there is often significant variation among a generation of plants for all cannabinoids.. Unfortunately, for someone like myself, looking for thcv...a cannabinoid that may only have 1-3% thcv to begin with,( if Im extremely lucky..) a 2% variation in overall cannabinoid profile can be significant
Absolutely.
That's the problem we see with the system, but there really isn't a solution unless the cost and time requirements of testing go way down.
Would be great to be able to test every small batch of buds and sort them based on cannabinoids, potency, etc.
Then they could sell everything with accurate ratings and consistency.
I think one of the reasons we see less talk about this is that most "consumers" are using these numbers as a rating for potency and potential effect.
Cannabis education is very limited, so they see high THC and think "get high" and they see high CBD and think "get low".
Until the education improves, there won't be much demand for proper testing IMHO.
