Been lurking on the site without registering for a couple of weeks now and finally went ahead and did it. I just spent the better part of my evening reading this entire thread. I must say Texas is well represented here.

I'll be a first time grower here soon, just a closet job 2 or 3 plants nothing major like MOG or Robert. Just me and 2 plants makes 3. I've been trying to germinate some bag seed i got, but nothings popping. So i ordered some seeds from a couple of seed banks in hopes of getting some known good seeds. My grow room isnt completely set up but I got my grow medium, my lights and my timer.

I guess it's anticipation that is getting to me and the hopes that I don't get ripped off. I bought from Nirvana and another site off the hightimes website.

Just wanted to say hey what's up from the Coastal Bend Area and Keep Austin Weird. Ya'll be blazin the trail for the rest of Texas for real.

so nailz just some advice make sure you got everything before you germ them seeds i started way to fast cuz i was anxious bout growing be patient it will pay off when you start your grow trust me wish i was more patient before i started also make sure you got your nutes too that way you do it right the first time peace

This question will show how much of a newb i am. I'm assuming by "nutes" you mean nutrients. What and where should i get these. Apologies again.

its all good everyone starts there even the best growers nutes is short for nutrients this might provide some helpful reading https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/3423-vocabulary-growing-terms-slang.html you can find nutes online or a hydro store if you got one in your town growshop.com is a website that has hydro stores listed different cities as for which one you get is all bout personal preference if you wanna go soil or hydro are big factors on which ones you use im doing soil and using fox farms which are pretty good

cant go the 17th im going to mexico tomorrow for my first time. lets hope i dont get mugged and die! but other than that 50 cent beers here i come

i go to mexico all the time just follow the rules like going to any other city and you be fine

My other user name is Texas Pipeline Trash ( and I usually kick it in breedbay's dankster chat room) but i've been working a lot lately thats why I've I haven't been on the site for months, No I haven't been to the pen, and don't plan on going, I try to stay one step ahead, but me getting caught is very unlikey, and I will leave it at that, and when I said this was suppose to educational I made a mistake, I thought this was my coco growers unite sticky. so for what every Im sorry, but why would you put your sons name on here, when you say you don't want to get busted for what every it is you do? doesnt make sense? the last thing I would do is put my family names or my name on here. But my dog is posted up all over the place! oh well i dont care...



so on a happier note guys and gals, I now have 13 Jack Herer clones 5 days old, and 3 two weeks old, and my jack herer mom is super healthy, I have also have 3 unsexed comrade x blue apollo plants at 2 weeks old doing great ( the low down on the strain comrade is white russian crossed to black russian and I think blue apollo is apollo 13 crossed to blueberry) sound like a mut, but what the hell. I want to get some bubba kush beans and cross a male to jack herer making ( bubba jack ) sounds texan to me..
I will be home for the next couple of days due to the rain. Im working out town and I dont have internet, so this weekend I will try to post some pics of my current op before I leaven again, and plus I only have about a week to root my next round clones. wish me luck guys, and thanks for keeping this thread alive.

Thank you again atxbudgrower for your patience with a complete novice(myself). I will be reading that post you linked shortly. This is day 6 of trying to germinate that bagseed and still no activity. I'm about to give up on it. But I have read it takes sometimes up to a week to germinate.

Just wanted to say good morning Texas. It's another beautiful day in the Coastal Bend Area. Hope everyone is doing well and that your girls are vibrant with life.

yea germing can take up to a week but the seeds could be dead or it could be the method your using to germ your seeds that could have a big factor on it too the paper towel and two plates is good and ive used the 24 hour soak in water too which worked fine both times all the seeds came through

im probably just doing it wrong. I used the paper towel method but instead of putting the towel between two paper plates i placed it in a plastic cup. Might be the problem there. I also noticed some green residue on the paper towel this morning when i checked on the seed. I have no idea what it is.

try doing it again in the paper towel method with two plates and place it on something warm that dont work could be bad seeds
