didnt read the entire thread, But i too have been on the hunt for years.
In my area, there was a strain called "The Juice" that would rival any strain today. it was skunk diesel smelling.
flying dutchmen classic skunk is one of discovered lately that is old school skunk. Right now i have cannacopia'a Roadkill skunk x deep chunk
it smells like hot garbage. finishing up first round now, and soon we will see if its too obnoxious finished product

I read about that strain but don't know where to order it that will ship to the states...I'm ordering the skunk classic and shoreline to see if one of those are what I'm looking for.

I I were to tell everyone that I know someone right now that is still growing the old roadkill skunk from the early 80's with seeds he managed to pull out of the multible bags we purchased back in the day and over the years he's managed to maintain the strain by growing males and females and pollinating and collecting seeds..........its out there I know I've seen it and smelled it and most importantly been smoking it routinely since I purchased the first bit that we ever smoked way back then and was made fun of because of how much I spent for the several grams that I purchased but after that first hit from my old proto pipe they all were hooked and that particular evening changed several of our lives forever.....for the good !

Yes, it is and was just as good as what's available now. I've come across the smell with white widow strains and so have many others. I even provided a link to another forum's thread on page 3 where again white widow was mentioned as having a very strong skunk smell in certain phenos. So people need to stop saying it wasn't as strong as what is available now. The smell is not specific to just one strain.

It may be cannacopia..it's called BC Roadkill (RKS x Deep Chunk)...I'm gonna order BC Roadkill..Skunk Classic and Shoreline (RKS x NL #2) just to see if I can,find that "old school skunk" smell and taste...I have Sensi's Skunk #1 already....haven't grown any out yet though.

None of those listed I haven't tried except skunk #1 and I don't remember it being all that "skunky" but it was some fire !!

WWhat got me on this was like alot folks I got caught up in the OG Kush craze and that's all I really wanted to smoke then a few months ago I copped a bag that had a distinct skunky smell that made me feel all nostalgic an shit so I find myself now looking for the "ultimate" skunk...lol

all the other skunk #1's have been overworked and watered down. classic skunk is true and unmolested.
still some stinky ones out there but not like Amsterdam skunk of the early 90's that all of modern breeding has DNA of inside

Every now and then my taste buds bring me back to those early 90's and i crave that ol skool skunk.
I was begining to think that i was crazy and i was just used to the shitty ol jamaican brick brown shit so when we finally got real hydro as we called it. Usually northern lights or someone unknown bc strain.
Ive never had anything come close to that taste and ive tried more than my fair share of strains.
Nl#5 and skunkxhaze were the closest ive tried yet.
