I made two of these does anybody know or have an idea to attach them to computer fans?
Go to Lowes and get a 4" round piece of duct, cut out cardboard what you need to fit on each end and duct tape it together.

I just want to thank you for your time and effort you put into helping others, specifically me,, make a diy scrubber,, I have been looking for something like this for a long time,,, thanx again,, and may all your plants be feminine.....kiss-ass:peace:
Wow guys... thanks for the great response =] ... I was hoping you would like it.

And this little guy will work for just about any size cab...

In fact... build a quick manifold out of 3" PVC piping, and you can link as many as these as you want for the size of your grow... have 4 of these for a decent size closet grow for example.

This is a sneak peak of my micro grow in a cab. 4 plants 2 weeks into flowering.. you can see the fan I'm using in the background.... This filter works perfectly and...

.. Some nice side effects of this filter besides the oder control (eliminated)... It also blocks light getting in and out of the cab through the exhaust fan... not to mention is muffled the noise of the fan as well.... a must have for all stealth grows. =]

There is no hint of smell any more... and I'm not kidding when I say that I do miss it =[..
but my goal is to make it stealthy.

I was thinking though... just simply apply it to any small fan, and place the fan/filter unit in any room for an easy do it yourself air purifier.

I spent like $10 to make it.. best of all, it's re-usable. Simply replace the carbon!

Do not hesitate to try this at home...

The pencil cups are in the office supply isle.
The activated carbon is in the pet isle next to the fish tanks
the rest is easy to find.

Peace.... and keep it fun

i have a question, are you guys putting this on your exhaust fan so that the fan is blowing the air past the carbon filter on its way out or pulling it through? also are you guys putting these on your intake as well? lets say i put one on the outside of my exhaust in the inside of my intake because i run axial fans the light leakage is a problem but i have a nice sliding closet door that remedies this during the dark period, any help is greatly appreciated i plan on making one or maybe two depending what you guys think is best very soon.

I mounted mine inside my box's exhaust port (page 6). You could mount on intake if you want to filter out whatever you might worry about. I didn't in my case.

you could basically take this thread and apply it to something more large scale easily.....here is also a good thought...if you know anyone who is a grower and reguarly buys the large carbon filters ask em for their throwaway ones....you can drill the rivits out empty the old charcoal put in some new and you are good as new..
