The Best Harvest Procedure

OK so I been flushing for 2 weeks and I just turned the lights out on these babies yesterday morning. I heard that 48 hrs of darkness does them some good. I never did the whole 48 hour dark thing and never got any complaints. However, I'm always open to suggestions for improvement. No matter how good we think we are... this is a infinite learning process and we can always get better! With that being said...is this a waist of time?

Look into the benefits of not flushing...perhaps you were leaching? Flushing on this site is defined as running about 3X your container volume of water through your pots. Pretty hard to do this for 2 weeks.

Agree with Diabolical, those pics look like you harvested early. If you learn to properly dry and cure you can feed all the way until the end and take the guess work out of when to start water only.

Yes you are correct... wrong terminology. I flushed every 2 weeks (I'm in CoCo). So I was leaching. FYI I do have mostly cloudy pistols and about 20% amber Trics. However based on what you and a few others are telling me... I'm flipping the lights back on. Thanks

You want pistols to change color most common color is orange. Those buds have quite a ways to go. How long have they been in flowering
9 weeks two days... its a 8 week strain. It's a 10x 9 flower room... some on the other side look like a God damn orange Ice pop! Everyone says forget about the hairs... look at the Trichomes... so that's what I did... they are all milky so I figured...lets do it!

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but some strains pistols don't turn. Obviously this is not one of these strains so im inclined to believe you are 100% correct. I'm just basically typing because I have fingers over here!

Personally i like to wait till ALL the white hairs/pistols are gone (maybe a cpl here & there) but majority turned brown/orange and most of the trich's full amber. I've found that when they're close to ready an easy sign to look for is the trich s heads start to break off as tho they become brittle? Looking at the pic I would leave them under for another good 4-5 wks then those big buggers will be SOLID & won't shrink as much when dried & cured plus the high will be much stronger and let's Favre it that's what we're after haha Keep it green good wrk.

Thanks for the advice... I'm going to keep that logic in mind moving forward!

I think you'll find most plants will most definitely change colour to the brown/orange they jus need to be given the time to do it believe me even tho it sucks going thru the waiting period ot is certainly worth the weight/wait lol the results will speak for themselves of u don't think so and are gna pull them u should ay least keep 1 so u can see the difference good luck

I had the lights out for 48 hrs thinking I was gonna cut them down this weekend. I can just flip them back on and keep it moving? Will there be any I'll effects due to stress?

Yeah just keep the same schedule. I would start asap so they can think it was super cloudy or something
