The BubbleHead Gang

This is the BubbleHead Gang Thread.

I'd like to get the BUBBLEHEAD gang more organized and more recognized too..

I'd like to have a BubbleHead Contest. I'll provide some shirts or grow stuff as prizes.
Any ideas? Suggestions?

I'd like to see someone take over the BUBBLEHEADS SOCIAL GROUP. I started it, not knowing what I was doing, but will gladly delete it and let someone else take over.

I'd like to see everyone have the same signature logo, instead of us using two different ones.

I'd like to nominate Mostly Crazy For Chief BubbleHead or President or CEO of the Board of Directors.
President Mostly Crazy...Hmmmm, that has a ring to it.

Hey HomeGrown - I was thinking about researching that ONA dispenser you showed. It must work huh? - Cool. I think that's what I'm going to get. I don't have to build anything, and it's cheap enough. About how long does one can last for you on average??

Hey all, I got a HUGE problem. I wasnt able to get the tubing till this morning for my bubbleponics sytem. I am however pleased to announce that it is up and running, that is, pumping nutrient water (stealth hydro 1/4 grow nutes) to the root systems. Good right? Well here is the problem. The seeds have HUGE stringy (kind of fiber-y...it looks like a wooly piece of thread) roots, and I have no idea axactly how to plant them into the rockwool. Do I put it string first into the rockwool or seed firtst so that the white string is facing up (in the air)? Please help me out guys, I think I might have killed the seeds...heh....

Falstaff - I always figured that green thing is the initial root. I planted mine root down, and they work that way.

Good luck man!

Hi guys Hope every1 is enjoying the weekend
I was just wondering if anyone has ordered from Nirvana seeds,
I just got their seeds only took 4 days. Has anyone grown Nirvana's white widow,
or any of their other strands ?
if so how did it go for you?

Brother BubbleHead, vip561, the only trick or secret is how you cut them, where you cut them, and their environment. I just wrote a Newsletter that should go out soon, about cloning. I am goofing off on a laptop and away from my links to it or the thread it is posted on here. i'm sort of SATURDAY NIGHT Stoned now too.
I'll get back to ya tomorrow, bro.

Keep it bubling,

Falstaff, Are you saying you have popped seeds with long roots? First you want the roots to be in the 1/4"-1/2" but we are were we are so what I would do is first make sure your RW has been treated with 5.5 water for at least 1/2 day and a day would be better. I'm hoping you have already down that. I would then make a hole in the RW wide enough to place the seed, root down ( that the string thing) into RW and try not to damage the fragile roots. Be very careful and so it sloooooow! Bury till the top of the seed is about a nickles thickness under the top of the rockwool and then pinch it closed gently. Make sure you but the feeder to to the side of the rock wool about mid way up.

Seeds do not need any nutes. Drain what you have and fill with straight water. Use the nute when you see the second set of real leaves. The first little round ones that come out of the seed don't count.

Keep the seeds in the dark until you are ready to plant to limit any further developement ( may or may not work but it's worth a shot). The sooner the better in planting it. You just jumped the gun a little bit so let recover carefully but quickly.

I have a question for the Bubbleheads. What is it that you would want out of the group. What are some things you would find useful. I'm open to suggestions here or by PM.

I'd like to see a written agreed upon PURPOSE or Goal or MISSION STATMENT for us Bubbleheads that dedicates us to NO DRAMA and a purpose of being very helpful to others, eSpecially the newbies. Also include a Dedication to other BubbleHeads to be helpful to them too.

I'd like to see the BubbleHead Social Group built up and improved and led.

I've got a question for the bubbleheads, and I don't mean to interrupt with my question, but which reflector do you all think would be good with the growlab 120? a cooltube, or regular hood? I wanted to do a cfl grow, but seeing that I could do the entire grow with just one light sounds alot more appealing, I just want to make sure I've got all the right fans/blowers, etc. that I need. Please help!!! lol

Cool tube is the way to go when it comes to reflectors in my opinion but any vented reflector will work. However, they will have mogul (larger) light sockets and are made for HID bulbs.

If your going to vent properly as it looks you will then I'd go with a 250 or 400 watt MH/HPS ballast, a cooltube and the venting you are planning. I'd also get some CFL's for side lights. Maybe 3 - 42 or so watt-2700k (warm white) and 3- 42 or so watt 6500k (cool white) CFLs. I know this sounds strange but I would use the big light turned to MH and 2-3 2700k CFL's while I veg and the big light turned to HPS and 2-3 6500K CFL's for flower. That way you are providing a full spectrum leaning heavily to the best spectrum of lights for both stages of the grow.

Side lights help with total production as your buds under the canopy usually amount to nothing without the side lights. The cfl's will allow you to get light very close to the underbud and max it out. Think of light as the fuel and the leaves as the storage tanks for max bud growth.

Mostly that sounds perfect. i was just hearing alot of mixed talk about the cooltube acting like a magnifying glass and burning the canopy of the plants, but I think that the cool tube will be perfect. Quick question for ya, do I need 2 inline fans? Or can I just use 1? I'll be growing in the growlab 120 3' 11''x3'11''x78''. I hope the 400W HPS covers enough ground for the 4-5 plants I'll be doing. I apologize for all of the questions, this ventilation thing is kicking my butt. I really want to go with the 400 Watt for the Stealth Hydro dual spectrum setup, but I want to have it properly ventilated, feel me??

Msclemn, dont mean to be rude but that not a very good sales pitch if you wanna sell somthing but dont tell what it is. Just doent sound right, and for being a newbie on here thats not how you start a post with trying to sell somthing for someone else you dont even know. Think about it. But welcome to the sight
