THE CFG CLUB(the club for growing under compact fluors!!!)

Probably not--what are the wattages? If you just want to grow the main colas on each you might be able to use 2 lights per plant..but I'd recommend 3-42w per plants minimum, however 1x105w and 2x42w (or even better, 2x85w) per plant will yield better results.

But you'll likely lose one or two of them during sexing (males/hermies), so you might end up with adequate lighting.

im all about the cfl's for a lot of reasons. i am about a month into flower on my first grow using nothing but cfl's all the way through. and id say my plant looks damn good for cfl's and even better for a first time grow haha. but yeah i have a total of 5 right now a 42w cool a 42w warm and 3 23w warms my plant loves them. hps just produce too much heat for my little grow space. everyone check out my journel and tell me what u think

8x23w...those will be alright for side lighting but for flowering you want a single point (one bulb) per plant with at least 6k lumens (a 105w bulb) to help shape those colas. 23w bulbs will give you airy, small, popcorn buds.

Do yourself a favor, go to 1000-Bulbs and pick up 2 85w red spectrum (2700-3000k) bulbs for $21 each (they don't have any 105w+..you can go to SH Hydroponics and buy a couple 105w 2700k lights, but they over charge @$39 per light)

I'm in, i only have 2 CFL's right now since my buget is nonexistent. I only have two plants, one small, and one just planted so it works for right now.

Hey, guys looking for some input here, I was at costco the today and I bought some CFL, I'm using an aero garden, i'm looking to add some side lights when I get to vegging. I bought 1600 lumens 100w mercury based lights... would this work... I don't see anything on the box about white vs warm light... For all I know these might just be the wrong ones... I got them to switch out in my house. But thought I would see if they were usable with my AG

Hey guy, i really like this idea of a club, especially since im on a tight budget and thinking bout buying CFL's. It would be great if someone could help me tho. Im growing i skunk plant. Its looking healthy in a pot and growing outside. Shes just 3 weeks old. However i wanna bring her inside when she starts to bud cuz i know ppl gonna be picking off my tree where i live. Can she still produce nice sticky buds with CFLs and what wattage and how many do I need?
